Canon X Mark I is green
Just how green is the Canon X Mark I calculator? Well, for starters, it looks very Apple-sque, and is made up from recycled PowerShot lenses - at least where the glass elements are concerned. At $30 a pop, this makes for a very expensive calculator compared to those Made-in-China staples that tend to break down when you need it the most. Well you can tell that plenty of love has gone into its design, where the X Mark I will incorporates curves and designs that are not too far off from the award-winning range of PowerShot Digital cameras. Besides, it is fully solar-powered, helping reduce waste while making it virtually useable anywhere. Pick from either black or white colors.

I agree with the last comment - you can’t beat quality over price especially when it comes to Canon products. Made-in-china products such as calculators, phones and cameras are broken or not working by the time you get it in the mail. Best to pay the extra 10-15 bucks to avoid the hassles of sending it back.

The main issue with many modern electrical items is they use precious metals which use masses of energy to produce - at some stage we will develop silica based products which will replace these and cut emission down dramatically

Thanks for your review… I have to add that the green issue aside, personally, the difference in quality of this vs. the Made-in-China models is worth the price to me. While I don’t have this particular calculator, I’ve owned the cheapies and I’ve owned a quality calculator, and the old adage is true… you get what you pay for. Thanks, again!
