Swann Helicopters with Wireless Cameras – Say Cheese!

by Julie - on February 9th, 2012

I remember flying model airplanes with my dad, filling them with fuel and running around the field with the rather large control box with an antennea on it… not to mention the little orange ribbon tied to the top of it, I guess to protect others from flying into it. I also remember our plane ending up on someone elses frequency and flying into a tree. Good times they were… good times.

My how times have changed, Swann, the guys that bring you advanced security sytems, proudly introduces three new additions to its line of RC helicopters: two that feature on-board wireless video cameras and another that is controlled by your iPhone, iPod or iPad. The Sky Eye and Black Swann actually let users record their flights as videos or you can opt for still photos all with the touch of a button and then you can easily share them with friends via the included USB cable. Don’t Run with your iPod, Okay, maybe you Should.

by Julie - on February 8th, 2012

I’ve always loved Paint Ball and Lazer Tag, they both have been around for a while and there hasnt been too much new about them, but they have always been a good weekend standby for getting a bit of exercise and having some fun with friends, but with all the gizmos and gadgets out there today, couldn’t some of our old standbys be just a little more exciting?

Yup! Nerf and Hasbro have resurrected the game of Lazer Tag by adding some well known technology… your iPod or your iPhone, that’s right, just by mounting your iPhone or your iPod touch in a special holder on the  brand new lazer “Blasters” a downloadable app enables an extension of the firing range to 250 feet and introduces a heads up display that shows, trajectory and gaming stats and even provides an updating leader-board for you and up to 23 of your closest friends. Scosche flipCHARGE burst and flipCHARGE rogue announced

by Edwin - on February 3rd, 2012

Scosche has just announced a couple of devices that will help solve the “short of power” issue that plagues many first world societies these days, considering the sheer number of gadgets that they tote around. The Scosche flipCHARGE burst and flipCHARGE rogue will come with a flush folding USB cable that paves the way for easy synchronization (not to mention not having any risk of losing a cable connector cap or anything of that sort), while a blue LED will let you know just how much juice it has left inside, not to mention a convenient carabiner clip that lets you hook it up to just about anything and anywhere.

Both of them will further expand Scosche’s back-up battery and charger range, and they will also work in tandem with Scosche’s free reVIVE App for advanced power management. Kas Alves, Executive Vice President of Scosche Industries, says, “Not being able to make calls, send texts, watch videos, surf the web, access email or listen to music because of a dead battery can be extremely frustrating. The flipCHARGE line addresses that problem in a smart, convenient form factor that is easy to always have with you.”

Kidz Gear has new headphones for little ones

by Edwin - on January 30th, 2012

You know that back in the day, owning a mobile phone was pretty big business. You had to be a person with a reasonably comfortable bank balance in order to purchase one of these puppies, and there was still this thing called payphones as well. Make an appointment with a friend, and ensure you stick to the time and place religiously, as there was no way to keep in touch otherwise. These days, the cost of ownership of phones have dropped so much that even little kids own a handset, and the more privileged ones carry around iPhones in addition to a slew of other Apple products such as an iPad and iPod touch.

This revolution in the mobile consumer electronics industry has certainly led to a change in the way third party accessories manufacturers churn out products – they now have an even larger market to target, and Kidz Gear decided to throw their lot with Cupertino’s devices with their latest offering, targeting kids who own a myriad of Apple devices, coming in the form of the Kidz Gear Apple Wired Headphones for Kids.
