Making its debut Stateside at SEMA, this new device is proud to continue Parrot’s tradition of groundbreaking development when it comes to hands-free Bluetooth communication systems. First things first – the Parrot RKi8400 is an FM/AM RDS car stereo which will boast multiple connections for digital music and advanced hands-free telephony functions. Apart from that, it boasts a first by featuring a storage compartment located behind the removable front panel, making it the ideal place to stash away your recharging iPhone or iPod, far away from prying eyes while offering protection at the same time.

November 3rd, 2009 by Mark R in iPod gadgets
I’m not one of those people who always has to listen to an iPod all day, but if I was, then I’m sure I would forget to charge it. Hopefully, you can carry around a backup charger handy.
According to Griffin’s website, their PowerDuo Reserve is “the industry’s most trusted AC and 12 volt chargers”. The included portable battery is designed for the iPod and iPhone.
All you have to do is magnetically lock the small battery pack to the car charger or AC adapter, and the tiny green lights let the user known when it is charged. Later, when you are listening to your iPod and see that its battery is getting low, just plug in the charged battery pack for a little more juice.
Griffin Technology wants you to Simplifi your life
October 27th, 2009 by Mark R in PC Gadgets, USB Gadgets, iPod gadgets
I believe that it was Henry David Thoreau who wrote in Walden: “Out life is frittered away by detail…Simplify, simplify, simplify!” Of course, if he really wanted to take his own advice, he would have written “simplify” only once.
One of the things in life that really need to be simplified is our desktops. Many of us have all sorts of accessories to our PC like memory card readers and iPods, and the Simplifi is designed to take up a lot less real estate on the desk.
The Simplifi is clad in anodized aluminum, and attaches to the computer via USB. Fortunately, no software is required, and my computer recognized it right away.
The iHome iPod Docks get a Barbie theme

Instead of coming out with tons of fancy new models to add to their iHome collection, iHome is just adding a new finish for their old players. This one to make their various iPod docks appeal to a much younger crowd. Also a much younger very female bunch. The ones that still love those tiny plastic Barbie shoes and find Ken’s bright white smile to be absolutely dreamy. Thankfully they come in a range of sizes and prices to appeal to any parent’s budget.

October 26th, 2009 by Ally in Audio/Video Gadgets, iPod gadgets
If you’re on the lookout for a gift for a young girl that loves her music, then these little speakers are made just for teen girls. Of course they’ll work just as well for a female of any age that enjoys her share of pink gadgets. These speakers are small enough that they’ll be easy to keep on hand whenever you need a little portable music.
The Lasonic i931 iPod Boombox
October 19th, 2009 by Ally in Audio/Video Gadgets, iPod gadgets
There are still a great deal out there that can’t get enough of their old school electronics. Well for those that enjoy having new technology with an older look, now you can get this boombox. It’ll play your iPod loud and clear, all the while looking like a boombox you would have had many years ago. You can even put it up on your shoulder and wander the streets, just for old times sake. Although you might run the risk of getting beat up if you tried.
Green Power Sliding Speaker for your iPod

I’m always surprised at how much love the iPod Nano gets in the accessory department. Here’s one for more for those that have a preference for the Nano over the other types of iPods. Of course, don’t worry, this case is also available for the Touch as well. The accessory allows for you to always have a speaker on hand, because the speaker is stashed on the back of the case. It’s probably better suited for someone that prefers portable speakers over headphones a majority of the time.
Coosh Headphones are designed to stay on, at a low price
October 12th, 2009 by Mark R in Audio/Video Gadgets, iPod gadgets
I’ve reviewed many headphones and earbuds, and I have discovered very little that differentiates one brand from the other. The Coosh headphones are definitely the most unique that I have seen in quite a while.
Coosh headphones (not to be mistaken for the Koosh line of weird rubbery fuzzy balls) are made by the BIC company. As you can see by the silicone earring, these phones will stay in your ear a lot better than a BIC pen on your ear. They also come with a high capacity clip on the wire for a little added staying power. The Coosh website shows a man breakdancing with these things on, and the Coosh headphones stay on while he is upside-down.
By the way, these earrings are completely detachable, so if you don’t want that look, or if you’re not into active activities like breakdancing, then you can go without them. As for the sound, it is quite good with “full-bodied stereo sound quality” that is as good as it is advertised.
