If you’re on the lookout for a dock, this one definitely has a little bit of that mad scientist appeal that would definitely keep life interesting.  The colors within the ball on it will actually move about along with the beat of the music.  Which would give a cool lighting effect while you’re listening to your favorite songs.  While you’re becoming entranced with the shining bright lights, your iPod gets to sit on the dock and charge up.

Portable iPod Outdoor Speaker protects your iPod

June 29th, 2009 by Ally in Audio/Video Gadgets, iPod gadgets

portable-ipod-outdoor-speaker

Those with iPods prefer for the iPods to stay in functioning order.  However, warm summer months mean a lot of people are going places where music would be nice, but it’s not the safest place to bring your iPod.  Well this portable speaker will not only handle a day at the beach, but protects your iPod so that it can as well.  A lot of the portable speakers that are waterproof or resistant leave your iPod someplace else and unprotected.  This one would probably be a little more convenient for a day at the beach.

ColorWare takes in iPhone 3GS as well

June 25th, 2009 by Edwin in iPod gadgets

colorware-iphone3gs

ColorWare is a company that has long made a name for itself when it comes to making your favorite gadgets different from what commoners own. For example, instead of the usual black or white iPhone, why not let ColorWare splash a shade of your choice to stand out from the rest of the crowd? Apart from solid colors, you can choose from metallic colors as well. Owners of the new iPhone 3GS can also get their handsets done up by ColorWare at the moment, although ColorWare themselves won’t be offering the iPhone 3GS at this moment. Depending on your budget, you can just change the back-plate of the handset for $150, although there is the option to throw in another $20 and change the bezel frame and button or $15 each for the SIM holder as well as earbuds.

Two Atari 2600 products

June 17th, 2009 by Mark R in Gaming Gadgets, iPod gadgets

atari-productsSomeone must be in the mood for Atari 2600 nostalgia because I found not one, but two, products that hearken back to the age of extremely low resolution video gaming.

The first is an iPod dock that looks like the base station for the 2600. It has the on/off switch, but it doesn’t have any of the switches in the other areas. Looks like the iPod goes where the cartridge used to go. No real complex tech going on here.

The same applies for the 2600 cartridge wallet. If you look close, you can see the crease in cartridge, and you can open it up for a place to stash your cash and business cards. Why they chose to use E.T.: The Extra Terrestrial game, I have no idea.
