Lobster Taser – Time to Taser the Lobsters
The lobster taser which looks like a giant lobster panini press or photocopier stuns lobsters with 110 volts that delivers a shock immediately and effectively disabling said lobster’s nervous system. You can then proceed with the boiling, baking, and or grilling. We remain committed to taking out any food we eat humanely, so we look forward to more lobster tasers in the future – maybe even a home model.

The Double Slanket
Behold- the Double Slanket! Just like the original slanket it’s a blanket with sleeves, but now there’s four of them! Perfect for a nice long romantic evening in front of some weepy film- and you don’t even have to unsnuggle yourselves to eat the chocolate. Light some candles, turn of the lights and let the evening go where it will go. Particularly good for those of us who have partners that have a habit of stealing the covers. No matter how tightly they twist the bottom round their legs you’re not going to be left with just a corner to keep away the chills…

Walkie Talkie Watches
The first thing we thought was “a walkie talkie in a watch? That’ll be poo! It will have no range, eat batteries, have no functions and be seriously fiddly/difficult to use”. So naturally we had to have a closer look. At first glance we were surprised by the size. They are oversized, compared to a Casio watch, but not as much as you might think. The face of the “watch” only measures in at 7 x 6 x 2.5cm and when you consider that the aerial can be folded in and out when needed it is surprisingly small. The next thing we noticed was…

SteriShoe sterilizes and gets rid of shoe odors
SteriShoe may be a product that some might think is taking things too far. However, if you’ve ever worn workboots or know someone that does, I doubt you question that it’d be a great idea for some people. Some of the reason being that you just wish you could get rid of the smell, the other part being that you really do wonder sometimes how much bacteria gets built up inside of a pair of shoes you never wash.

The LightSleeper – For a Good, Heavy Sleep
Following her own suffering with insomnia, designer Kate Evans has created what is essentially a mini light projector which beams a soothing light onto your ceiling. The light then makes circles above you, the idea being that as your eyes follow the projection you gradually slip off to sleep. Whereas something like reading would stimulate the mind and thus keep you asleep, the LightSleeper relaxes you almost hypnotically. It takes under a minute to get it working, and it can be turned on with a tap (great if you wake up in the middle of the night with uber brain fuzz) and automatically switches off after half an hour which means its energy efficient too.

Animal Weighing Scales
These Animal Weighing scales measure you to the nearest rabbit, or other animal, and I believe are more of a novelty product instead being factually accurate. The animals get bigger as the weight goes up obviously, but one of the images on there is clearly a frog, and I think I’d be dragged straight to the doctors if I actually weighed that little. But it’s an amusing gag gift to consider for Christmas, for that person who just won’t accept that they’re just a regular size, or perhaps for that person who really should not be having eighth helpings of turkey…

Last Week’s Coolest Gadget Winners are…

The winner of last week’s coolest gadget competition is the Cable Drop.
Cable Drops are a very unique and innovative but very simple idea. If like me you tend to have several cables for different devices hanging around your desk you will find they drop down the back and you lose them. Cable Drops will solve this and will hold your wires and cables in place so you won’t have to scramble on the floor to find them each time you need to charge your phone or iPod. Aswell as your cables being right to hand each time the Cable Drops will not leave any mess on your desk and style wise they beat a lump of blue tack hands down.
Congrats again to Tech Styling.
