Griffin Powerjolt Micro for iPad
Own an iPad and do a whole lot of traveling on the road? Well, we do know that the iPad (as well as the iPad 2) sports some pretty legendary battery life, but that doesn’t mean it is able to go on forever. No sir, even these magical tablets need some juice once in a while, and this is where the Griffin Powerjolt Micro for iPad comes in.
Most of us use the cigarette lighter port in the car for something else, and plugging in a charger is more often than not the main purpose. The same applies for this nifty little gizmo, where it will turn the same cigarette lighter outlet into a more useful USB port, which carries enough voltage to charge your iPad, iPhone and iPod. Oh yeah, before you think that this is some Apple-centric blog, fret not as it can also handle other USB-compatible devices as well.
With the Griffin Powerjolt Micro for iPad in your car, you can be sure that you will never have to stop your Angry Birds session simply because your iPad is out of juice - as long as you are willing to invest £17.99 in this puppy.
The YUBE - iPhone Exercise App Really Takes You Away
The YUBE is an augmented reality application for stationary exercise, you’ve seen it before, someone pedaling away on a stationary bike and watching the world seemingly pass by on a TV screen. It uses an iPhone or iPod Touch to synchronize the user’s body motion to travel through an actual video, so you can travel the world without ever leaving the gym.
The YUBE plays video (scenic travel or even competitive racing) to the speed of your actual exercise. The iPhone or iPod Touch is attached to your arm (for walking or running) or leg (for biking) and then the application senses your body speed and uses that to control the speed of the video. The faster you go the faster you go through the video. Imagine yourself tearing through the streets of Paris or along the scenic shorelines of Santa Barbara. PocketLoops Portable Music Creation Studio for iPhone and iPod Touch
While I was at ShowStoppers at CTIA Spring 2011, I saw this guy from Gear4. This is PocketLoops, a Portable Music Creation Studio designed for the iPhone and iPod Touch.
It is essentially a keyboard with 13 keys with a 30 pin dock that can do instruments like synthesizers, organs, and pianos. As you can see, it turns the iPhone/iPod Touch into a touchscreen controller for all kinds of effects.
With a little work, the user can mix and records his or her own tracks, and the user can record his or her backing track. There are also three built-in effects that include Echo, Chorus, and the XY Filter Pad.

iPhone controls your kitchen island
No longer is the superwoman multi-tasker the queen of the kitchen - it might seem as though your kitchen island will soon be controlled by nothing but an iPhone! Yup, the smartphone that has clearly revolutionalized the way we look at how humans interact with phones is not only able to let you enjoy your favorite music on the go, snap great photos and shoot videos, it will now be able to control stuff in your kitchen island.
There is a hydraulic scissor lift that is bolted to the cement, where a small frame is also built on top of the scissor lift table. Right on top of that is a subfloor, flooring, followed by the island. Its cabinet doors are located on the other side, where all of them will come with safety push button switches which ensures electricity from the Smart Home Insteon switches are “killed” to prevent any movement whenever the doors are not fully closed.
What are some of the other iPhone controlled items that you would love to have in your pad?

Impervious iPod Speaker Case
If you love carrying your iPod with you wherever you go - and by this, we mean just about anywhere, here is the Impervious iPod Speaker Case which would make a pretty good purchase in our books. Capable of protecting just about any-generation iPod from water, dust, and crushing forces without sacrificing on clear audio from its built-in speaker, you will find its polycarbonate construction that is covered with a shock-absorbing rubber shell on all four sides and corners suitable for a rugged lifestyle.
The case itself closes using a couple of locking latches which will keep both halves shut and the o-ring sealed tight, so you are able to enjoy a 100% waterproof experience no matter where you go. Of course, we don’t suppose if you go diving with this puppy it is able to hold out on its own at a certain depth, but then again it wasn’t built for such purposes. Powered by a trio of AA batteries, the Impervious iPod Speaker Case can be yours for $49.95.
iPhone 4 Steering Wheel with Speakers
Now, we do know that the iPhone has somewhat turned into a pretty decent gaming platform, and has had its fair share of hits along the way. When it comes to racing games, however, the experience of tilting your phone either way to steer your car isn’t a really fun experience, so here is a peripheral that might just help you out.
The iPhone 4 Steering Wheel with Speakers that retails for $22.20 is here to save the day - this lightweight peripheral is meant specially for the iPhone 4, where it offers high quality audio regardless of whether you’re gaming or listening to music. All you need to do is connect your iPhone to the steering wheel’s adapter, affix that to the middle of the wheel, and you’re good to go. If only the iPhone 4 will somewhat remain on a horizontal plain no matter which way you turn the steering wheel - now that’d be uber cool.
Solar Powered iPhone? Yes Please
So, I take my cell phone with me no matter where I go. I consider it a luxury, but I also like to think that I would have it with me in the case of an emergency, like when my brand new car broke down this morning, and I was stuck on the side of the highway. Oh I had my phone alright, but the battery was dead, and the charger was in my other (and I guess, better) car.
Well that wont ever happen to any of us again if Apple has it’s way. According to U.S. patent reports, Apple wants to be able to incorporate solar cells into some of their touch screen products. Can anyone say iPhone 5? Okay, can anyone say iPhone 6 then? Anyway, let’s imagine if you will, the premise of throwing your phone up on the dashboard and having it be ready to go anytime you need it. Awesome.

Audio Light Bulb
A light bulb is supposed to just give out light (and some warmth for those who are still in the winter season), right? Apparently not when Hammacher wants to have a say in the situation. The Audio Light Bulb that you see here is a snap to install, working as a wireless, illuminated speaker which can be up and running within seconds.
It will fit unobtrusively within a recessed can light receptacle, so you can toss out your standard light bulb although outfitting the entire house with this might get a wee bit too expensive considering the $299.99 price point that it comes with. Still, this is one great method to experience discreet audio and lighting in your pad, where your ears will enjoy the crisp audio it delivers via the full-range, 10-watt speaker within.
Capable of receiving interference-free wireless audio signals from up to 50′ away from its transmitter, said transmitter can be docked with any iPod/iPhone equipped with a 30-pin connector. If you’re going to do some serious home improvement in the near future, the Audio Light Bulb might be a good bet.
