Quantum Reach broom

Monday, March 3rd, 2008

Ask any homemaker what their biggest gripe about brooms are and they will tell you that it is the head that is not perfectly shaped and angled to clean just about any nook and cranny in the home. Enter the Quantum Reach - this unique broom is capable of doing what an ordinary broom can’t and more.

The secret of Quantum Reach is the articulating head and multiple surfaces. The head adjusts to any angle, allowing cleaning of any area: under beds or furniture, above art or overhangs, ceiling fans, HVAC vents, behind appliances, and even windows. Quantum Reach has bristles on one side of the head for sweeping and unique “T” hooks on the other side to attach Mircrofiber pads for sweeping, mopping and dusting. Quantum Reach also features a telescoping pole, which provides compact and easy storage for the consumer and lower shipping cost and reduced shelf space for the dealer. Quantum Reach provides the cleaning power of a broom, mop and duster in one easy-to-use and store tool. Quantum Reach is setting a new standard in the hard floor cleaning category.

I’m not sure if getting this as a gift for your other half is such a good idea. Still, if you’re a risk taker, the Quantum Reach broom retails for $19.99.

UV Vac

It’s no real secret that air quality in the home can be worse than the polluted atmosphere outside thanks to dust mites, flaked off skin, mold and a host of other bad stuff that make up the never ending battle of dusting and vacuuming the home. Hammacher Schlemmer now has a weapon to even the odds in that war with a vacuum cleaner that has built in UV lighting that treats the carpet while vacuuming.

Silly String Rifle ups ridiculous ante

Thursday, August 30th, 2007

silly-string-rifle.jpgJust when you thought shooting water at your friends was rather daft, the Silly String Rifle comes along and throws all sorts of common sense out of the window. You had better not try to play this around your home if mom is around as there would be hell to pay when it comes to cleaning up. No idea on how much it retails for, but other than the monetary cost you would have to forgo your dignity and pride playing with one of these.

iDisguise - The Minty iPod

iDisguise.

Protect your iPod from thieves by disguising it as Candy, thanks Jesse.

It all started when my car was broken into while I was living in Boston. Smashed windows and shattered glass littered my car. Everything was taken…or so I thought. While cleaning up the glass, I noticed my digital camera on the floor of the car among some items not worth stealing. What had caused the thief to overlook my camera was the fact that it was small enough to store in a mint tin, which successfully disguised the camera from him.

Guinness Surger
We reported on the Guinness Surger last week and since then have had a chance to put it to the test (on multiple occasions :)). It also gave us the opportunity to buy beer on expenses which is always cool. So read our totally unbiased though alcohol induced review :).
