When it comes to drawing tablets, the name Wacom is certainly one that we are all familiar with — and have come to know and love. This time around, there are a couple of new models that might just tempt you to swipe that credit card of yours one more time — or twice, and it would be the Wacom Bamboo Slate and the Bamboo Folio smartpads. Touted to be the new generation paper notebooks, these tend to make a bridge between the analog and digital. Sporting a couple of smartpads and a range of new features in Wacom Inkspace, Wacom’s smooth and intuitive digital notetaking experience will bring about a seamless gap between paper notes and the digital workflow.
Wacom’s Bamboo Slate and Bamboo Folio smartpads will feature a pair of attractive and functional designs, catering to two different paper sizes. Apart from that, there are new features of the Wacom Inkspace app and cloud services which can be taken advantage of, including vector output and handwriting to text, so that users have a range of choices to enjoy ideas from paper to the cloud and into the digital workflow regardless of whether it is at home, in a school or at a work environment.
Both the Bamboo Folio and Bamboo Slate will bridge the gap between paper notes and the digital life with smartphones, cloud services and PCs. These smartpads happen to be based on Wacom’s EMR (Electro Magnetic Resonance) pen technology, where they will take full advantage of WILL, which is Wacom’s digital ink. This enables users to start their ideas with a pen on their favorite paper, while all that it takes is a simple push of a button in order to turn their handwritten notes or sketches into digital files, before saving them in the Wacom Inkspace app.
The Bamboo Slate will arrive in A4 and A5 sizes at $149.95 and $129.95, respectively, while the A4 Bamboo Folio will retail for $199.95 a pop.
