The Vivo V5 would be the latest model of the V series, and it is also the first product of its kind that will carry the company’s tagline which has been changed to “Camera & Music”. It is interesting to note just how such companies position themselves in the market, and we do know that Oppo has been concentrating on their handsets being selfie phones for the past couple of years, meaning the occupy the mid-range market with decent front-facing cameras.

Vivo figured out that both photography and music are the two most essential functions in a smartphone for those who love to express themselves, which was the thought that shaped the release of the Vivo V5. Hardware specifications of the Vivo V5 include a 5.5-inch display with 2.5D Corning Gorilla Glass for that added touch of durability, a hand-fitting uni-body design which lets you hold it in one hand securely, the IMX376 sensor that was co-engineered with Sony, delivering a 20MP front-facing shooter accompanied by a selfie spotlight and sophisticated beautification software, boasting of an f/2.0 large aperture and 5P lenses.

Vivo has also worked with AKM in producing the new Hi-Fi chip known as AK4376, where it is touted to offer a very enjoyable music experience as it can reproduce every little detail in a music piece, ensuring that you will feel as though you are there live. Other details include 4GB of RAM, an octa-core processor, a front fingerprint sensor, and an eye protection mode.
