Turcom delivers a pair of water-resistant speakers

turcomPortable speakers happen to be dime a dozen these days, where there are just so many different models to choose from, so much so that we can say you would be spoilt for choice. The big question mark, however, would be just how many of these speakers are worth checking out in the first place? First of all, if something is going to be portable, then it would be best to make sure that said speaker is also durable to a certain degree, even better yet if it were to be waterproof. After all, you can never quite tell as to when the heavens might change course and start to pour down, or an accident by the poolside happens. Turcom knows this, which is why they have revealed a couple of water-resistant speakers in the form of the Titan and AcoustoShock.

The Titan wireless speaker is the more compact of the two, where it will be able to easily fit in your back pocket or can be stowed in your carry-on bag for a weekend adventure or business trip. As mentioned earlier, it happens to be IPX5 certified water-resistant, and has been crafted with a high-end aluminum casing in order to deliver a sleek, classic look, while boasting of an enhanced bass boost and dual-speakers that delivers clear and powerful sound. Tipping the scales at less than 10 oz., toting it around is a snap, especially when you take into consideration the form factor that measures 6.3” long, 2.4” high and 1.1” thick. The lithium-ion 1,800 mAh battery is capable of delivering up to a dozen hours of playtime.

As for the AcoustoShock speaker, it will also target those who live out an active lifestyle, as it boasts of a tough, rubberized exterior and shock-resistant design that allows it to survive extreme drops. There is also the delivery of powerful audio – to the tune of 30 watts from its pair of powerful drivers. There will also be two rectangular, passive sub-woofers which complements the casing design in order to produce deep bass. With the 8,000 mAh battery capacity within, the 30 Watt dual speakers will be able to work for 7 hours of continuous playtime, and peace of mind is offered by its IPX5 rating that makes it water and shock resistant. The Titan and AcoustoShock will retail for $37.99 and $89.99, respectively.
