Steam Link – PC gaming gets a lot more comfortable

We love to play video games at pretty much any possible moment. You can play on your mobile phone, portable gaming device, console in your living room, or PC in your home or office. Of course, whether you play for five minutes or five hours, you want to be comfortable, and there are all sorts of accessories that are catered to making that happen.

If you are part of the PC master race, but wish that you could play games on your living room TV easily, then you’ll need to do a little finagling to make it work. Of course, if most of your PC game library is on Steam, then you might be interested in Steam Link. By connecting this to your TV and home network, you can have access to your entire game library from whichever is your most comfortable spot in front of the largest screen you own.

Setting this up is as simple as connecting it to your TV and home network, and it will automatically find your computer if it’s running Steam. This uses the power of your computer for streaming video and audio, so you should be getting 1080p resolution at 60FPS. It can pair with the Steam controller, and supports the Xbox One or 360 Wired Controller, Xbox 360 Wireless Controller for Windows, Logitech Wireless Gamepad F710, or the good ole fashioned keyboard and mouse by way of its two USB ports. It comes with a power cable, adapter, HDMI 2.0, and an Ethernet cable. You will obviously need a decent computer and TV to get the most out of this setup, but should your rig meet the requirements this will only cost you $49.99, or $99.99 if you want the Steam Controller too. This is currently only available for pre-order, and will start shipping October 16th (to a limited number of the pre-orders), though it will start hitting the shelves on November 10th.
