We really, really love to document anything and everything. We take pictures of our faces every day, our food, and the cool things that we’re up to. If you love living fast and crazy, then there’s a decent chance you have a GoPro camera so you can record your biking trips, skateboarding shenanigans, scenic runs, and more. Of course, if you have it strapped on your body, you can only film in one direction.
If you don’t mind showing off your face and giving a different perspective now and again, then you might like the Spivo Stick. We just recently looked at the SoloCam for budding journalists, but the Spivo is aimed at thrill-seekers who want to capture all of their sweet moves from different angles. This is a rotating camera mount that can switch the field of view by 180 degrees, and all you need do is press a button. Of course, you will also need to hold the stick the entire time, but if you want to capture the moment, a little extra focus on balancing with your arm out isn’t going to do much harm.
This is meant for action sport cameras that are capable of getting a full field of view facing you or what lies ahead. This uses a universal tripod mount to keep your camera secure, and comes with a wrist strap so you don’t fling it off flying down a hillside. You can try putting your smartphone on there, but it’s likely better to use something that is less likely to shatter. There are different fixed sizes depending on what you plan to use this for, measuring from 12-26” long. This is going to cost you around $49 or more depending on how many extra gizmos you want.
