Sharp adds another 55″ video wall monitor to the family

sharp55Normal billboards are definitely not the way to go these days when it comes to the world of advertising, as billboards are static. Not only that, if printed on poor quality material, then you can be sure that the color will fade in a short time, not to mention peel at the edges. A dynamic billboard might be able to cycle through several advertisements, but you would still need to go through the trouble of changing the images on the billboard from time to time. An electronic billboard, however, is a snap to use when it comes to changing the content – just upload the right image, and you’re good to go. Well, electronic billboards and video wall monitors do seem to be catching on these days to no surprise, and Sharp has yet another addition to their 55” family of video wall monitors.

The latest model would be an ultra-slim bezel professional that is sure to be able to do its bit to attract the attention of whoever looks at it. It is not only lighter, but also a whole lot better for the environment since it is also more energy efficient than ever before, boasting of the industry’s sole factory calibration process that delivers out-of-the-box pixel to pixel color uniformity.

By expanding its PN-V video wall series, Sharp did so with the launch of its second 55″ Class (54.6″ diagonal) PN-V550 LED Ultra-Slim Bezel professional monitor. Sporting a bezel-to-bezel width of just 3.5mm and up to 500 cd/m2 brightness, the PN-V550 display is close to being 40% lighter and 40% more energy efficient than the Sharp 60″ Class PN-V600A Professional Video Wall Display. It merges Full HD (1,920 x 1,080-pixel) resolution with a display brightness of up to 500 cd/m2 so that one’s eyes will be treated to stunningly bright and detailed images. Not only that, a quartet of PN-V550 monitors set up in a 2 x 2 configuration will allow users to display every pixel of native 4K Ultra HD (3,840 x 2,160-pixel) content on the equivalent of a 110″ Class screen. Expect the 55″ PN-V550 professional monitor to ship sometime this month.
