Satechi has made a name for themselves, rolling out convenient and user friendly devices when it comes to the home office, car and travel. Well, this time around, they intend to roll out a brand new category that will be part of its robust list of product solutions, which would be a home automation market device – the brand new Satechi IQ Series. This IQ Series is a range of affordable and practical home connectivity solutions.
Alan Turksu, CEO of Satechi, said, “Our company is passionate about making products that fit every part of our customers’ lives. Expanding into the home automation market was the natural next step for the brand, and we are excited to now provide our customers with an array of products to easily create a smart home.”
The couple of new products that will make up the IQ Series at the moment happen to be the Spectrum IQ Bulb and IQ Plug. Both of these happen to be Bluetooth-enabled solutions, so that users can control lighting and other devices through an app, and this is done directly from the user’s Android or iOS smartphone or tablet, which will also help one to conserve not only energy, but costs as well.
The Spectrum IQ Bulb itself happens to be an 8 Watt, energy-efficient, LED lightbulb which can fit into any standard socket. It will enable users to enjoy up to 25,000 hours of lighting, where it sips 10% less energy as opposed to that of an incandescent bulb. There will be 16 million colors to choose from which means you will be spoilt for choice, and the IQ Bulb ought to be able to fit any user’s mood and needs. One can also have it set in Disco Mode so that the lighting can be synchronized to the beat of the music. As for the Satechi LED Spectrum app, users can control up to 10 bulbs simultaneously, or to do so individually, including a variety of functions like turning them on/off, dimming or brightening, and timer and scheduling functions.
As for the IQ Plug, users can control electronics and small appliances easily from the palm of their hand. This user friendly device can convert current home electronics or small appliances into Bluetooth-enabled models, letting you control them from an app, now how about that?
The Spectrum IQ Bulb and IQ Plug will retail for $34.99 and $29.99, respectively.
