The legend of the Loch Ness monster has intrigued me since I was a boy when we visited Loch Ness, near Inverness in Scotland. I’m definitely going to buy one of these remote controlled Loch Ness monsters – for my son of course!
I couldn’t find much detail on the original product page, so I had a hunt around using Google, and put a summary of specifications from what I’m fairly certain are the same remote control toy, but I’ll check with the manufacturers later.
Measuring 15 inches from head to toe, Nessie moves through the water with her motorised flippers at speeds up to 5 mile per hour. The bi-channel remote controller moves Nessie forwards and from left to right with a range of up to 60 feet.
The neck bobs up and down too, adding to the “realism” effect.
Nessie uses four AA and one 9V battery (not included), but I think it’s a lot of fun for $25!
The remote controlled Loch Ness monster is available from X-treme Geek.
