The Poppy Pour Over Coffee Machine makes your morning brew look like art

There are few ways to describe how coffee can make you feel. It’s a pick-me-up in the morning and afternoon, and occasionally a treat with after-dinner sweets. Most of the time it’s made in a run-of-the-mill automatic drip brewer, but for those that only want to surround themselves with beautiful things, wouldn’t it be better if your coffee brewer looked as wonderful as the finished product makes you feel?

We’ve seen some really impressive coffee makers in the past, but there’s always a new way to experience your brew. This time it comes to us in the form of the Poppy Pour Over Coffee Maker. This is an artisan coffee machine that looks like a science experiment. It uses a burr grinder that will preserve your oils, and only uses the exact amount you need for the perfect cup. You can adjust many aspects of the brewing process like the water temperature, grind size, and brew time to get things exactly how you want them.

You will need to buy paper filters for this to work, but once in place and turned on, it will pour down into a double walled glass carafe. The top compartment can hold one and a fourth pounds of beans, the water reservoir can hold 50 fluid ounces of water, and the carafe can hold up to 20 ounces of coffee. You’ll never be making more than you need, which means you would have to make effort to drink cold coffee from this device. The smartphone app it works with will be where you control aspects of the brewing process. The machine will also get you automatic refills on coffee and paper filters through Amazon when it detects you’re running low. The price is currently a mystery, but you can sign up to be on their mailing list to be the first to know when, where, and how much.

  1. It’s no mystery that this coffee maker will probably cost more than a year of Starbuck’s runs… I wish someone would make an electric vacuum coffee maker like the old Bodum Electric Santos, but more reliable and priced under $100…
