If you are going to head out to the great outdoors this summer, then you can be sure that it would be in your best interest to make sure that you are well equipped and prepared to get the job done – that is, having the right tools and what not. While city slickers would rely on their smartphones or tablets to tell the time (or a smartwatch), those who prefer to rough it out with nature would know the value of an actual watch, as opposed to relying on a smartphone to tell the time. Of course, if all else fails, common sense will let you know when is day and when night falls. This spring, Casio America, Inc. has expanded its rugged and versatile PRO TREK line of outdoor timepieces with the brand new PRW3510Y-1.
The all-new PRW3510Y-1 happens to be the very first PRO TREK timepiece that boasts of a super-twisted nematic (STN) LCD display in addition to Casio’s next-generation Triple Sensor Version 3 Technology, and Tough Solar Power, which would then make it a must-have accessory for outdoor enthusiasts. It is nice to see Casio use their timekeeping expertise to deliver something for the rugged outdoors.
Specially designed with a digital STN LCD, which is said to require less power compared to other LCDs, the PRW3510Y-1 will be able to deliver great visibility in highly bright or dark environments, and it also comes with a full auto LED backlight that illuminates in the dark with a simple tilt of the wrist. In addition to that, a silicone strap would make sure that both fit and feel are improved, and the PRW3510Y-1 also boasts of a bold stainless steel rotary bezel which can be positioned in order to help keep track of current and intended bearings. You know, just in case you get lost or something. The PRW3510Y-1 can be picked up for $320 a pop if you are interested.
