Misfit Vapor 2 smartwatch announced

Misfit-Vapor-2Want a stylish activity tracker that does more than just keep tabs of your movements while you sweat it out? Misfit might have something right up your alley in the form of the Misfit Vapor 2. The purveyors of the original activity tracker would like to bring fashion to the forefront of the fitness industry, and with the Misfit Vapor 2, you can say that they are pretty much close to achieving that objective. The Vapor 2 is a design-forward touchscreen smartwatch that will play nice with both iOS and Android platforms, enabling users to enjoy everything that they require right on their wrist.

For starters, the Misfit Vapor 2 will be powered by Google’s Wear OS, their latest wearable device platform. With Wear OS, Vapor 2 owners will be able to enjoy an unrivaled, world-class software experience that has a slew of features, including the Google Assistant, hundreds of apps on the Google Play, notification alerts, and Google Fit. This will prove invaluable, while you get to enjoy a completely customizable experience no matter which smartphone platform you are rocking to. Similar to its predecessor, the Vapor 2 will boast of an integrated music player, 4GB of internal storage, an upgraded and redesigned optical heart rate sensor, a swim-proof design and all-day battery life.

You will be able to choose from 41mm and 46mm case options, depending on what you prefer. This sleek and compact form factor is complemented by different kinds of strap options in order to help you look your best as you match your wardrobe accordingly. There will be eight different colorways at launch, so you can expect more to be released in the future. In addition, users are able to customize the watch face with an endless array of style options, including altering the color, background image, and even the font.

You can use the standalone GPS to track the distance traveled, number of calories burned, as well as steps taken using Wear OS by Google, while it is also compatible with other downloadable third-party apps. In addition, users can view and track resting and active heart rate thanks to the new and improved built-in heart sensor. The built-in NFC support also lets you perform secure payments right from your timepiece where the service is supported.

Expect the Misfit Vapor 2 to retail for a relatively affordable $249.99 apiece.
