Having said that, the quest to maintain a pristine smartphone chassis has led to the explosion of phone cases, where most of them make the handset look extremely bulky, not to mention covering up the way the handset was supposed to look like. South Korean consumer electronics giant LG has decided that their new flagship, the LG G Flex2, would not need to have a smartphone case.
The very simple reason behind this? The LG G Flex2 will sport a self-repair exterior, which is known as the Self Healing back that sports a faster healing time than its predecessor. LG claims to have reduced the healing time from about three minutes to a matter of just ten seconds at room temperature. Of course, if you are going to run some sandpaper over the exterior in a vigorous manner, the “healing factor” will not be able to do much, but it mainly targets normal wear and tear.
Other than that, the LG G Flex2 will run on the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor with octa-core 64-bit capable CPUs, sporting a Full HD 5.5” P-OLED display, while harmoniously incorporating a symphony of curves that range from a radius of 400mm to 700mm across the front, back, sides and top-to-bottom edges. This ergonomic design is not meant for aesthetic purposes alone, since it would ensure that the microphone remains closer to the mouth to facilitate better sound pickup. Running on Android 5.0 Lollipop right out of the box, it will also sport a new 13MP Laser Auto Focus camera that captures the best moment even in low light conditions, aided by proven OIS+ technology and dual LED flash. Fast Charge capability would allow this smartphone’s 3,000mAh battery to be charged up to 50% in less than 40 minutes. Other specifications include a front-facing 2.1MP camera, 32GB of internal memory, 2GB RAM, and a microSD memory card slot for expansion purposes.
