Impossible is a folding electric bike that fits in your backpack

One of the most nerve-wracking things about riding a bike everywhere is the notion that someone can easily mess with it while you’re inside. If you don’t have a proper lock, and sometimes even when you do have a good one, parts of or all of your bike can go missing. This isn’t an everyday occurrence, but there is always the chance that it could happen.

If you’d prefer to keep all of your belongings with you at all times, then it would likely be useful to have a bicycle that is small enough to fit in your backpack. We’ve seen folding bikes in the past, but none as small as Impossible. This electric folding bike is a solid option for a people mover, and it only stands 17 inches tall when folded. It runs off 10 2900mAh 10A 3.6V batteries. Being fully juiced up, it can travel 12.4 miles per hour for 45 minutes. There’s also the option of going a bit slower and being able to tack on about three more miles distance-wise.

Seeing that the frame has to be lightweight, it can currently only support up to 180 pounds. There is no pedaling necessary as it is powered, but that also means that there’s less mass to the bike. The carrying cover for the bike can keep it safe from rain, but will also act as the seat when the bike is unfolded. You’ll be looking at around $470 for one of these bikes in carbon fiber. This is currently a successfully funded crowdfunding campaign, and cheaper options should be available in the future for black and white options.
