Waking up when you’ve ignored your bedtime watching Netflix leads to needing a little extra kick in the buns to get you going in the morning. Our old standby is trudging to the kitchen and making our perfect cuppa brew. Once the first is out of the way, we move on to our second and third, which the last of is likely coming with us out the front door. By the time you get to a point where you can drink it again, it has likely lost a lot of the life and luster it originally had since the transfer from press or pot to mug.
If you can’t stand not having your coffee or tea at the optimal temperature, then you’re going to need more than a thermal mug. Ember is a thermos which you can adjust the temperature of to make it exactly to your liking, and can keep it that way for up to two hours when it’s away from its charging coaster. This mug is connected to an app, so if you don’t feel like turning the base to change the temperature, then you can go to your smartphone to adjust things.
You can choose to have the temperature in Celcius or Fahrenheit, and despite being an electronic you can handwash it as it was designed to be waterproof. The lid doesn’t have one tiny spout, as you only need to press down the top and then you can access your drink from any side. This can only hold 12 ounces of liquid at a time, but will work on any type of tea, coffee, or soup. One of these will cost you $129, and the app should play nicely with iOS or Android devices, being able to remember presets for drinks, and has custom notifications.
