Mushrooms are a fungus that release spores to grow more mushrooms. While a good deal of mushrooms are safe for consumption, we don’t necessarily want to take a bite out of any shroom we come across. Of course, mushrooms have shown up in fairy tales, folklore, and stories all the time (does Alice in Wonderland ring any bells?), so regardless of whether or not we enjoy their flavor, we have a bit of a weird fondness for them. This interest manifests in products such as nightlights and lamps, but now we’re going to look at one that will purify your air.
In the way that a fungus would take in the proper nutrients and expel spores to reproduce, the Ecvision Mushroom LED Air Purifying Lamp does the opposite. This takes in dust, pollutants, smoke, and bacteria to provide you with cleaner air to help you thrive. It produces a “warm LED light”, and can take in particles as small as 0.01 microns.
The air filtration function doesn’t turn on unless you have it plugged in and turned on, though the lamp is capable of functioning even if it’s not plugged in. The light is dimmable, but it seems the capactive touch sensor is a bit finicky. This is going to be a $34.99 purchase that should last you a decent amount of time, as the LED bulbs should last for over 50k hours of use without dying. Of course, after that point in time the air filtering system likely won’t be working as well as it used to, and it will be time to get a new contraption.
