Is there anything you can’t buy on the Net? One of my friends and his wife are expecting their second child and after a bit of searching found a site that offers a DNA gender test. You can do the gender test 6 weeks after conception and everything is done remotely, this is my mate’s experience of it all:
After buying online a package arrived with instructions, due to the fact that its home based, accuracy can drop to 96% if you are not careful, therefore you must use a clean work surface and ensure NO males are in the room with the ‘mum to be’ who in our case had to do the test herself. (Not ideal especially when said ‘mother to be’ hates needles & blood)
You get 4 little spring blades that when activated should prick the end of your finger and you drip blood on to the test card without touching the card, you actually have to fill 3 circles which are about the size of a 2p each, it took almost an hour to do in our house! Not as easy as it seems from the website.
After letting it dry the hard work is done and card is then posted, results are usually due within 2 weeks and you can log into the website for your actual lab results, an email is sent to tell you an expected day for lab results once they receive the sample, for us it was Friday night, we decided to log into the website together on Saturday morning which revealed,
