When it comes to networking devices, you can be sure that D-Link is one of the names not to be overlooked. This time around, the company has started to ship the mydlink Network Video Recorder, where it is otherwise known as the DNR-312L. The mydlink Network Video Recorder has been specially designed to see action in the midst of small business owners, where it is a snap to set up as well as operate, so that users will be able to keep a close eye on their businesses locally using a mouse and a High Definition monitor. Alternatively, since we live in a connected world these days, you can also do so remotely with a phone, tablet or PC.
This means that those who would be picking up the DNR-312L would be able to customize their very own ideal security solution through the mixing and matching of up to nine D-Link network cameras, as well as being able to view, record and play back footage from all nine cameras – all of them at the same time.
Using a plug and play configuration, the DNR-312L will be able to automatically locate and record both video and audio from D-Link network cameras, where it can be set to record continuously, regardless of whether it is on a schedule or based on motion. There is a single storage bay that will be able to accept a hard drive that is up to 6TB in size, which will provide a recording retention period of 30 days – or longer. Apart from that, there is also a scheduled back-up function which will enable one or more camera recordings to be backed up to a USB drive, network storage or an FTP server.
There is also a wide range of viewing options that exist for the DNR-312L, where among them include a web browser, mobile app and the native HDMI port. Expect the DNR-312L to be available for a manufacturer’s suggested price of $349.99 if you are interested.
