Mmm, ice cream, it’s terribly unhealthy, but delicious nonetheless. There have been ice cream makers for the home before, but soft serve has always been something you had to go to a real ice cream store for.
Not anymore, the Cuisinart Soft Serve Ice Cream maker produces professional soft serve ice cream, yogurt, sorbet, or sherbet. All you do is add the ingredients. That’s right, no yucky chemicals, salt, or other funky things, just the stuff you put in. You can make 1.5 quarts of sorbet/sherbet/soft serve in as little as 20 minutes.
I’ve got to say, my favorite part is the three topping dispensers on the side. You can fill them with whatever you like, sprinkles, gummy bears, Oreo crumbs, walnuts, etc. To dispense, just pull down on the bar and the toppings come right out.
There’s also a built-in cone holder which can handle your standard sugar cone, or the massive waffle cone. Unfortunately there is no place to dip your cones in chocolate on the machine, you’ll have do that yourself.
Don’t worry about what ingreients to put in, a book filled with tons of great recipes is included. There’s also an instruction booklet if you’re a little confused on what to do. Chocolate fudge brownie or cookies and cream sound delicious right about now. 🙂
If you love ice cream, and haven’t been satisfied with other ice cream makers, the Cuisinart Soft Serve Ice Cream maker looks pretty awesome, especially with those topping dispensers. It’s available from Frontgate for $130.
