When you want to take your camera with you everywhere, rainy days are your worst enemy. You want to keep shooting regardless of whether it’s rain or shine, but you have to keep your gear safe if you want to keep shooting at all. You can chance trying to keep your camera huddled under your coat, but if it starts to be a downpour and you’re caught in thick of it, chances are you and your DSLR are not going to have a very good day.
If you want to keep going regardless of the weather, then this Rain Cover should help to keep your camera safe and dry. Laying flat, the lens cover section measures 8 x 7”, the hand sleeves measure 7.5 x 5.5”, and the clear section to see your camera screen measures 8.5 x 5.5”. There are drawstrings with stoppers to fit snug around your hands, a double zipper to seal the bottom when on a tripod, and a Velcro and drawstring combination for the lens to make sure it’s a tight fit.
This should work for just about any size camera and most lenses. The only thing that might bring condensation into the mix would be your hands, so you’ll want to make sure you aren’t the cause for error. You’ll be looking at $14.99 to get one of these, but keep in mind that this is likely best used on a tripod with plenty of time to set up your shot. If you’re one of those people who always has their hands attached to their camera though, it may not be much of an issue.
