Cool Conceptual Toaster

Cool Toaster

Designed by Atil Kizilbayir this is one of the coolest toasters I’ve ever seen. The toaster is designed to work like a heated tunnel, you put plain bread into the toasting carriage at one end, the ‘x’ seconds later the carriage pops out the other end with nicely tanned toast.

If this conceptual toaster ever becomes a reality I’ll be buying one though I’m not getting my hopes up.

  1. I wouldn’t get my hopes up. Consider all of the lawsuits for little rug rats sliding their sister’s hand in the cool gadget and searing her flesh. I realize it’s no more dangerous than a clothes iron, but there are higher safety concerns for kitchen equipment.

  2. It’s just an updated version of a conveyor toaster which restaurants have used for decades.

Making it slightly smaller isn’t going to reduce current costs ($500+) much due to the amount of energy needed to flash bake in $600+ 4 slice toasters out there anyways so maybe this will fly one day.

Heck, what do I know. There are already $600+ 4 slice toasters out there anyways so maybe this will fly one day.

  4. Did you catch the way covered this toaster?

“Just hope the moving mechanism doesn’t break down halfway through, or you’ll have an unreachable piece of bread catching fire in the middle of the toaster you’re frantically hitting with a hammer to shut off. And sure, you could probably just unplug it, but that wouldn’t be nearly as dramatic and exciting.”

He only covers maybe 1-3 things daily but his writing is gold 😀
