The Cold Shoulder Calorie Burning Vest is NASA scientist approved

Cold Shoulder Vest

Keeping excess weight off is a lifelong battle. We run, lift weights, eat less and take supplements, but a few days of slipping can put us on the fast track to gaining weight again. You can’t take a pill and watch the pounds fall off, but there are a few methods to burn more calories while seemingly doing nothing. That sounds like it might be too good to be true, but a NASA scientist developed one of these methods, so there must be some validity to it, right?

The Cold Shoulder Vest is basically clothing with ice pack inserts which will help you burn calories. By putting this on directly out of the freezer when you’re at a comfortable temperature, your body will burn calories in an effort to keep warm. No one likes being cold, but no one particularly enjoys going to the gym every day, getting liposuction, or eating low-calorie junk filler just to feel full. It’s no more crazy than any other option, and you have to do almost nothing to burn up to 500 calories a day. Of course, you have to put this on twice a day to get to that number but it’s better than doing an hour of cardio in the gym.

It is said that this becomes more effective over time, as your body starts to recognize that it needs to turn up the heat whenever you’re chilly. There’s a reason swimmers are always so lean, and it’s because they swim in water that is often 20 degrees less than their internal temperature, burning even more calories than exercise alone. You can get your hands on one of these vests for $130, but will need to be nearby a freezer on a daily basis to get any use out of it.
