Do you ever wish that your jewelry was more functional than a mere trinket to add to your style? We’ve seen it plenty of times with paracord bracelets and even miniature cannon rings, but how many of those will be useful to you on a regular basis? While we’ve brought up every day carry tools in the past, the premise for them is that they should be useful more than once a year.
We curse the cold of winter for endless weeks, but when summer shows up we’re less than thrilled with how hot it gets. While the idea of running under the summer sun with a light breeze is the ideal situation, that only actually happens maybe four times. When whatever outdoor activity we do is over, we dash for the car to sit in a colder environment and let our bodies cool down.
Have you ever smashed your hand with a hammer and then had someone ask you a stupid question? If you have, you now know what it’s like to be on your period around literally anyone. It’s not that women are crazy during that time of the month, they’re just in excruciating pain, feel like they’re bloated, and have munchies to an insane degree while still having to live life like nothing is happening. As one such being, I can attest this to be 100% fact, and there’s only so much you can do to deal with it.
Every now and then you’ll come across a week that has you doing more in 7 days than you would normally accomplish in a month. It has deadlines, errands to be run, appointments, and meetings galore. Somehow you’re supposed to handle it with grace while also not letting it show on your face how little sleep you’re getting. It is important to make sure you’re getting enough Z’s, but if there’s just no time, you need to know how to make it look like you’ve got everything under control.
It’s a crazy world out there, and you never really know what you’re going to come across in a day. Maybe something fantastic will happen like waltzing into a circus or onto a random movie set. The real life surprises are far less exciting, filled with things like your car breaking down or having some inconvenient screws wiggling themselves loose on your cabinets. It feels like you need to be ready for anything at any given moment, but the question is how you go about being prepared.
For a lot of people the 9-5 grind seems like a dream come true compared to the workload they normally face. Oftentimes you’ll get business calls while walking down the street, on vacation, or out at a bar after hours. You can’t ignore it, because every time you don’t pick up you’re ruining yourself further down road, or jamming lines of communication. Wherever you are, you want to make sure you’re receiving calls and answering with enough clarity to make sure neither side is being misunderstood.
When you’re traveling all the time, you start to get a grasp for the things you know you’ll need on a day-to-day basis. It’s impossible to be on the go and get anything done without your devices which all come with accessories and a backup battery to make sure nothings dies at an inconvenient moment. Then there’s the stuff you need like a change of clothes, external speakers for impromptu work spaces, and a bag to keep everything in.
Not too long ago being labeled a geek or nerd was reason enough to be ostracized from most of regular society. Thankfully the tides have turned, and now you can show off your love of comics, movies, games and more without being made fun of. Actually, it makes you one of the cool kids. While most now rely on a shirt with a logo or bag that has comic pages plastered all over it to show off what they love, some want to go a more subtle, dapper route.
First, we did hear of Polar having made their entry as part of the GoPro Developer Program, and here we are with word that the folks over at Vuzix Corporation, too, are also keen on jumping aboard the GoPro Developer Program bandwagon. Having said that, Vuzix has developed the capability to connect its wearable Smart Glasses devices with GoPro cameras in order for the user to enjoy complete hands-free viewfinder and control capability.
When it comes to getting around, many of us happen to rely on the likes of Waze or Google Maps, as those apps help us to get from one point to another in the fastest time possible, regardless of the traffic conditions that are at hand. Having said that, there are also other mobile devices out there that have GPS capability, arriving in the form of wearable tech. Polar’s V800 GPS multisport watch is one of them, and with word that Polar has decided to make themselves to be part of the GoPro Developer Program, and will be making use of GoPro toolkits in order to introduce GoPro functionality into the Polar V800 GPS multisport watch some time later this year, things are certainly going to get interesting, that is for sure.
