When you take on a professional position in the work world, there’s usually a certain sort of uniform you wear to look the part. This means nice clothes, shoes, and accessories. For the most part, the outfit isn’t the worst to wear, but the shoes take a serious toll on your feet. The construction of these shoes usually bunch your toes together in the front, making you willfully deform your feet.
When you have to go the entire day with everything you need on your person, you know how important having a good bag is. Whether it’s a messenger bag with shoulder padding, a backpack with comfortable straps, or a purse that won’t cut into your shoulder, you’re going to use it enough to know quality when you wear it. The only problem with backpacks is that they’re meant to hold a lot, so we put a lot in them, weighing us down.
When you start delving into one particular profession, you start to learn the ins and outs of the business. For those that are involved in hair coloring and styling, you begin to learn that no one knows about hair until they spend hours and hours working with it. If you ever thought about getting your hair colored, try asking your stylist if they can take your hair color from black to platinum in an appointment that was originally supposed to be a trim and see how they react (also let them know it’s a joke or they will not be happy).
It’s not that we don’t want to keep functional keychains on our person at all times, but when there aren’t pressing matters to deal with, it’s not at the forefront of our minds. You really can’t know when you’re going to be somewhere that needs light, fire, power, or any other sort of emergency aid. That being said, it would be a bit of a burden to carry every possible precaution with you in a backpack all day every day.
Some like it hot, some like it cold, and some wish they didn’t need to wear 10 different layers just to feel comfortable. Even if it’s blazing outside, you could get into work and feel as though you walked into a winter wonderland. It’s hard to maintain some level of comfort when we’re constantly flitting in and out of different temperatures all day. Fashion aside, it would be nice to only worry about owning one jacket.
If you live in an area that sees a lot of sun, then you probably own at least one pair of sunglasses. Some like to be stylish and have multiples so they can coordinate with their outfits, but functionality and not spending copious amounts on many different pairs of shades can be just as effective. Of course, they don’t just have to be normal sunglasses that block your eyes from the rays of the sun. They can be far more…entertaining.
We seem to be on the very futile search to find the perfect smartwatch. New aspects and innovations keep being realized for this wearable technology, and while some products are just a rehashing of things that already exist, there are those that want to improve on the model. Smartwatches have been around long enough now that we essentially know what we would want, need, and like to have.
When you travel for work, you have to deal with airports, cabs, walking, buses, trains, subways, and any other mode of transport you’re stuck with in the local area. Sometimes you’re lucky and have space to put your luggage down, other times it all sits in your lap, and you’re constantly readjusting yourself. You find yourself buying more and more bags to accommodate your clothes and gear, as nothing seems to hold it all nicely.
If you want to stay in shape, you know how important it is to work out 4 or more times a week. For those that are really driven, it’s an every day ordeal, and missing a session throws off your game. If your morning is too busy or you wake up late, then your only choice is to go after work, and sometimes that means exercising after the sun has gone down.
Walking alone at night can be pretty terrifying because you can’t always have an entourage with you, but if anything happens, “you shouldn’t have been alone”. What’s worse, you can be attacked in broad daylight, even when you’re 200 feet from the police station. Being ambushed isn’t going to give you enough time to get to pepper spray or dial 911. Getting your phone out and calling an emergency number or trying to be on a call with a friend sometimes doesn’t happen fast enough.
