Casio delivers LampFree projectors

casio-ecoliteWhen it comes to projectors, do not rule Casio out Рthey not only make some decent calculators to use at the office and churn out tough timepieces under the G-Shock brand, you know, but are also pretty adept at delivering projectors for the masses. This time around, we are looking at the expansion of Casio’s industry-leading range of LampFree projectors which will not hurt the pocket too much, and at the same time, get the job done with aplomb. These Core Series projectors happen to be a range of industry-first Laser and LED light source projectors, where it brings a 1.5X optical zoom lens to boot. Casio has plans to introduce a quartet of these new Advanced Series projectors which will offer superior scalability at an affordable price.

Casio’s new Advanced LampFree projectors will boast of all the features and performance that customers have come to know and love, arriving in a compact form factor without having to break the bank. These four WXGA and three XGA models under the LampFree umbrella will come with a 1.5X zoom lens for optimal flexibility in projector placement, where the Advanced Series models will also come in handy to power other devices via HDMI terminal connections like Intel WiDi or Miracast wireless display adapters and stick devices, ensuring scalability is achieved.

This LampFree Laser and LED light source is touted to deliver a lifespan of up to 20,000 hours, which does away with the need for lamp replacement as well as to reduce electricity consumption to about half that of a mercury lamp projector. This means the total cost of ownership (TCO) for the new models would be better than a traditional mercury lamp projector. They also take a mere 5 seconds to reach maximum brightness from the moment it is switched on, and will immediately power off with just a single touch of the button. Any takers?

  1. Love it. Can I try it for awhile and write a review? Cost had been a limiting factor, particularly for small businesses and community organizations.
