The folks over at booq are certainly a creative team, especially since their bunch of designers have come up with their fair share of fashionably functional bags and carrying cases in the past – and continue to do so, too, targeting creatives. In fact, their most recent addition to the world of photography would be the photography-oriented Python collection, which is simply known as the Python catch. The Python catch bag happens to feature some rather unconventional design such as rugged, sustainable material, customizable organization and more than adequate space to stash in not one – but two DSLR cameras, up to a quartet of lenses and a MacBook Pro Retina, now how about that? Certainly this is a stash bag that you would do well to protect all the more especially when you are traveling, considering the massive amount of memories and gear in holds.
The asking price is not going to come cheap at all, as some folks can even purchase a brand new lens (albeit a very entry level one), but throughout the history of mankind, there is always a price to pay when it comes to convenience. The Python catch bag will sport a $295 price tag if you are interested in picking up this bad boy. Of course, it ain’t gonna be literally as “cool” as the Camera Cooler Bag, but it more than makes up such inability with the sheer amount of storage space.
Kema Subsomboon, Lead Product Designer at booq, shared, “Modern photographers are constantly on the move, and are carrying much more with them than just camera gear. We designed this bag to be slim and comfortable so it can shift from an indoor shoot to an outdoor adventure, and accommodate everything from cameras, to lenses, to a laptop for those times you need to edit on the spot.”
The Python catch’s main compartment will boast of three primary densely padded dividers and four padded subdividers which one is able to configure it so that it can fit their gear of choice. The interior flap will also deliver transparent pockets in order for users to store accessories without losing track of them, and a zippered pocket on the back will safely stash away a 15” laptop. Frequent flyers will be pleased with the luggage trolley compatibility and an adjustable padded strap for comfortable carrying.
As for its exterior, one would get to enjoy weatherproof, rugged protection, as the fabric is made from 47% recycled PET and 53% cotton. An optional rain cover with reflective elements will also deliver protection and visibility in low light situations.
