The Bartesian – cocktail mixology made easy

Our time is limited when we come home at the end of the day. We’re usually exhausted, wanting to do little more than relax. If your method of unwinding involves having a cocktail, then you likely fall into one of two types. The first are those who enjoy mixing drinks, and the second wishes they had a bartender in their home so they can enjoy the end product.

If you fall into the latter group, you probably fancy products like the Arist or Keurig. Since those only deal in coffee, you’ll be delighted to learn of the Bartesian, which takes all the work out of making a bar-quality cocktail at home. This device has four glass reservoirs for vodka, gin, tequila, and rum, which will mix with a capsule loaded with juice concentrates, non-alcoholic liqueurs, and bitters. Of course, if they were powder-based or riddled with corn syrup no one would be interested, so all the ingredients were chosen to be high-quality enough to fit the palate of actual mixologists.

These capsules are loaded into the machine, and after you’ve placed a cup with ice on the bar-runner styled drip tray you can select what type of drink you want, and at what strength you’d prefer it to be. Should you enjoy drinks without ice, this comes with a cocktail shaker. All of the cups are recyclable, and the machine is very easy to clean as you only need to wash out the cup tray on occasion, and the reservoirs can go into the dishwasher. This system will cost you $299, and comes with 12 capsules. Additional capsules can be purchased in a set of 12 for $20. If or when you run out of cups, this will at least be able to pour you a measured shot or two, but it’s an expensive way to go about it.
