Slim is in – there is no denying it, and Taiwan-based ASUS has just revealed their brand new smartphone known as the ZenFone 2. This new flagship in the ZenFone range would sport an all-new design, where it will run on a 64-bit Intel Atom Z3580 processor, accompanied by 4GB RAM, a 13MP PixelMaster camera at the back, an Intel LTE-Advanced modem that delivers ultra-fast and reliable 4G/LTE connectivity, all crammed into a body that boasts of a sleek, brushed-metal finish alongside concentric-circle detailing.
Not only that, the graceful curved case would taper to an incredibly thin 3.9mm over at the edges, resulting in a comfortable and secure grip. Not only that, there is an intuitively-placed volume control key located right at the rear of the smartphone which will be within easy reach of the user’s index finger. The 5.5-inch Full HD IPS+ screen comes with an ultra-narrow bezel which ought to do its bit to reduce the ZenFone 2’s overall size without sacrificing on the viewing experience. Powered by a 3,000mAh , it also comes with fast-charge technology which ought to help reduce recharge times by quite a margin.
Do take note that the 13MP PixelMaster camera would come with its f/2.0 wide-aperture lens, where this particularly potent combination would be able to let users quickly and easily capture beautiful, high-resolution photos with zero shutter lag. The camera will come with some of the more heavyweight features including Low Light mode, Backlight (HDR) mode, and the Real Tone flash, doing its bit to make sure that you end up with incredible photos regardless of the lighting conditions around you.
It remains to be seen whether the ASUS ZenFone 2 will be sold in select markets only, or will it make a worldwide debut. After all, it does have plenty going for it – hopefully it will not be priced out of range for most.
