A-Bike Folding Bicycle

A-Bike Folding Bicycle

While thinking about doing some exercise there are two things I have in mind, either play football which I do plenty of times per week, or go out for a bike ride which is also pleasing to do because the rider will get some fresh air on the face and be able to view some good sights as well.

And while thinking about the bike ride there is always one important detail, which is the bicycle of course. Is it heavy? Light? Big or small? Easy to store it somewhere? Does it provide a good riddance?

With the name of the bicycle in question – A-Bike Folding Bicycle – some of those questions already get answered. Yes, the bicycle is small and easy to store because it can fold up and have its final compact state like you can see on this image. What is the folded size you ask? Just 67cm x 30cm x 16cm.

On the other hand comes the heavy and light problem, which for this bike isn’t a problem at all. Weighting only 5.6Kg (or 12.6 lbs) thanks to the lightweight material used – think heat-treated aluminiumand high strength reinforced glass fibre.

Other than the previous details, I don’t know if this is a good bike to ride, and while taking a look at the requirements you can say it is a bit fragile:

  • only people measuring between 4’ 9” and 6’3” can ride it
  • only people weighting less than 85Kg can use it

By the way, why do you think this bicycle is called A-Bike?

Invented by Sir Clive Sinclair, the bike looks like a letter ‘A’ when in use and this is where it takes it’s name.

It costs $300 at CrazyAboutGadgets.

  1. I have bought a copy version of this bike. Pleae read my blog about it. It is a fun bike but I needed to change the seat out to make the bike livable when riding.
