Samsung hails a new era with Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge smartphones

by

It is starting to become an annual pilgrimage of sorts now for the technologically inclined to attend shows such as CES and MWC, and Samsung has decided to use Mobile World Congress as the platform to unveil a couple of brand new smartphones – the Samsung Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge, taking over the Galaxy S5. These two handsets will seamlessly blend premium materials alongside the most advanced Samsung technology so that consumers will be able to enjoy an unmatched mobile experience.

Made from metal and glass, the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge will see the coming together of purposeful design and powerful features. The Galaxy S6 Edge depicts a unique and outstanding beauty, at the same time offers a solid grip and an immersive viewing experience thanks to the world’s first curved display – on both sides. It will feature Corning Gorilla Glass 4 as its glass body, and you can pick from White Pearl, Black Sapphire, Gold Platinum, Blue Topaz and Green Emerald colors.

Shutterbugs, too, would be able to find that either handset would be worth checking out, especially when they boast of an incredibly vivid, bright and fast front and rear camera. The F1.9 lenses and high resolution sensors in front (5MP) as well as in the rear (16MP) cameras will be able to deliver the most superior image quality in a smartphone, even in extremely low light conditions. There are also the likes of Auto Real-time High Dynamic Range (HDR), Smart Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) and IR Detect White Balance which provide advanced light sensitivities and crisp camera solutions.

They will also usher in a new age of wireless charging, being compatible with any wireless pad that is available in the market which supports WPC and PMA standards. In terms of wired charging, they are speed demons – relatively speaking, at 1.5 times faster than the Galaxy S5, which means one can enjoy around 4 hours of usage after only 10 minutes of charging.

Running on the world’s first 14nm mobile processor with 64-bit platform, accompanied by a new LPDDR4 memory system and UFS 2.0 flash memory, your eyes too are not forgotten with a 5.1” Quad HD Super AMOLED screen that delivers a pixel density of 577ppi. Pricing and availability details are subject to your local carrier.
