When you walk out your front door, you never know what you’re going to face that day. Maybe the zombie apocalypse will finally happen, or you have to save a kitten from a tree, or stop a flaming bus full of orphans from careening off the road and shepard the children to safety, becoming the town hero. It may be far-fetched, but it’s not impossible.
March has brought us a vague idea of the warm weather to come. It’s a tease in comparison to the real thing as snow keeps cropping up here and there, but we’re rearing and ready for the sun to shine and the temperature to rise. Of course, this means we have to start prepping for the summer barbeques and beach side events we want to attend.
It was just yesterday that we brought you word on how E FUN actually revealed a quartet of upcoming tablets under the Nextbook umbrella, and being the fifth largest tablet supplier in the U.S., it seems that the company has taken the necessary steps to announce the availability of its very first Android 2-in-1 device, which will be known as the Nextbook Ares 11. Somehow, the name Ares resonates with me, as I am a huge fan of the God of War series, and the Nextbook Ares 11 sure is a “fighter” of a device, especially when you take into account that this 11.6″ tablet will come with a detachable keyboard.
Beastgrip, the one behind an extremely versatile smartphone rig and lens adapter system, is apparently looking forward to an upgrade, and they have yet again turned to Kickstarter in order to make their dream possible. In fact, in a matter of just 24 hours of its launch, the campaign had already arrived at 100% of its funding goal of $50,000, now how about that for an unprecedented level of enthusiasm? First introduced a couple of years ago, smartphone photographers and videographers have relied on Beastgrip in order to deliver exceptional imagery and tell compelling stories. Right now, the existing Kickstarter campaign will raise the necessary funds to produce the Beastgrip Pro.
We absolutely love our console games. While it is disputed as to whether it’s better having a physical game disc or a digital download, those with discs know that one thing above all is important, and that would be organization. If you don’t have proper storage for your many disc cases, things are going to get out of hand quickly. Even then, if you are a bit quick to change which game you’re playing, you might forget to put the previous game away.
Have you ever noticed that household items that your grandparents bought 50 years ago still seem to be in amazing shape? The phrase, “they don’t make ’em like they used to” is really quite true, because consumers nowadays are willing to pay money for something they know is cheaply made. Of course, a smaller price tag for now normally means having to buy the same thing over and over again. Just about everything is made of brittle plastic, and has a nasty habit of cracking or breaking easily.
A power outlet is just that, and most of the time, we do not really give much thought to it, as to whether it will be able to offer a whole lot more than that. Nyrius’ Smart Outlet, which is now available on Kickstarter, will come with the extraordinary ability to instantly transform any outlet into a Bluetooth-enabled one, which results in a smart home – and one that can be controlled at the palm of your hand, now how about that? This Smart Outlet will enable users to easily control their electronics or small appliances, including the likes of coffee makers, lamps, space heaters, stereo systems and more, and doing so through any iOS or Android smartphone or tablet.
