This looks like an exact copy of Steelie!

Great article. I was one of the first testers and I have to say all 3 of the products are awesome. I use the Mobio Grip the most when my 5-year-old uses my iPad.

This is a copy cat product. The true company, which is handcrafted in the USA, not China, is Steelie. Coolest Gagets should do an article on Steelie, not this company.

Ordered mine through Indiegogo. I am impressed with the sleek design of the Mobio pivot. Seriously considering being a distributor.

Al, you are right. Steelie has been making these for years in Boulder. We have several Steelie products and they are great. I wonder if this Mobio “company” is even real and if they are just trying to cash in on an already good idea and product that is proven and made right here in the USA. Aren’t there laws against this type of blatant copying?

I love the improvements Mobio has made to these products. I had ordered Steelie products in the past and found the quality of the product to be very poor. The Magnet was a horrible color and the stand was made with a ridge that did not allow me to adjust my tablet and phone to have the proper viewing angle I wanted. The bottom of the stand also just falls off easily. It may be made locally but the quality and customer service I found to be poor. I really think the improved design of these products are great and the color and sleekness of the magnets look much better on the back of my phone.I love these products and will definitely recommend them to friends.

Spig, I have had a Steelie since April, long before Mobio began. My Steelie has held up and is still like new, despite constant use. All angles are achievable and the stand has never had an issue. Ironic you mention customer service…Steelie is known for their outstanding customer service.

This is a total rip off of Steelie.

Had I known that it was (do not know for sure) a rip off of Steelie? Would have not bought. I am all into buying local (Canadian) and then for sure American.
This was marketed as American when I bought. Would gladly throw out and buy from Steelie if they would market to me.
If they have a good product, would not hesitate to buy.
Problem is I have never heard about them?
