Waking up in the morning means trudging to the shower and hoping we have enough time to sit down and eat breakfast before we leave the house. Our most hated enemy, that we are simultaneously glad is in existence is our alarm clock. There are some that turn on a light to slowly ease you from sleep, and others that blare screeching sounds at your until you throw it across the room.
There is only one place on a plane where you can get a lot of leg room and space to set down all of your stuff. The only problem is that first class is super expensive, and if you travel often the cost can drain your savings in no time. While you’re on the move, work never really stops and being in the quiet space of an airplane is a great place to focus and draft some messages or reorganize things on your laptop.
While smartphones are great, I kind of miss picking up a land line receiver and having a long-winded conversation. You can’t wedge an iPhone in between your shoulder and under your ear the same way, and it has a knack for slipping out and escaping to the ground. There just isn’t a justifiable need for home phones anymore as we all have one in our pocket. While we don’t want to pay two separate phone bills, it would be nice to have the handset option available.
Yes, we all know there are quite a few advantages to bringing your own lunch to work. Not only is it much more economical and time saving, it’s likely to be a much healthier option than you’ll get at your local fast food joint. I don’t usually mind brown bagging a lunch, but sometimes I enjoy a nice hot meal and unfortunately the communal microwave oven isn’t always the most appealing (or sanitary) option.
It seems silly to spend much money on a writing utensil, because we don’t place much emphasis on handwritten notes anymore. However, that doesn’t mean we don’t need to jot something down to remember what we need from the store. During these times, it is absolutely infuriating if you can’t find a working pen. Should you have a pencil handy, you’re all set to go as long as you have a pencil sharpener if the lead breaks.

You may have heard about the sudden and mysterious drops in Honey Bee populations here in the United States and in Europe. This mass die-off has some unbelievably scary consequences and poses a dire threat to the production of countless food sources and perhaps our very existence. Scientists allege that everything from pesticides to inbreeding are responsible.Whatever the case may be, we can’t survive without the bees. So what’s the plan?
Playing an instrument always seems so appealing until you actually start practicing. You can’t just go from beginner to professional in one day, or one year for that matter. It takes a lot of learning, messing up, and try, try again mentality. Getting a teacher is pretty expensive, and thankfully we now have YouTube, where there are tutorials galore. However, getting your hands on a beginner instrument can be expensive. If you’re wanting to play piano, you also have to worry about it taking up a lot of space.
