faceVsion FVexpress Combo 720p HD web VideoCam + Express card solution

faceVsion has unveiled their latest FVexpress Combo 720p HD web VideoCam + Express card solution for the general market, and this highly anticipated gizmo will target notebook users who want to keep in touch with family, friends and business associates through video calls in High Definition quality, thanks to its ability to offer users a true 720p HD video chat experience via Google Talk and faceVsion’s QuLives communications manager application. In comparison to other pseudo-HD webcams which are able to transmit HD locally, the FVexpress Combo is more than capable of delivering full-motion 30fps 720p video over the Internet for an unparalleled video chatting experience that is so real, it feels as though you were being there yourself!

The FVexpress Combo will comprise of a compact faceVsion FV TouchCam L1 HD video camera with a wide-angle 28mm up to 75 degree field-of-view lens and advanced auto-focus/auto-brightness control, as well as a kit that includes an FVexpress card which slides into a notebook’s Express34 or mini PCIe card slot, with an on-board hardware H.264 encoding of the HD video stream making it possible to transmit over the Internet. The included QuLives communication manager software application will play nice with Google Talk, where it will go about managing HD video chatting sessions such as importing of Google Talk contacts and recording chat sessions among others.

The faceVsion FVexpress Combo will work with any computer as long as they run on Windows 7, Windows Vista, or Windows XP PC with an Intel Atom 1.6Ghz or equivalent processor, 1GB RAM, 200MB of hard drive space, an available express card slot (or ExpressCard-to-PCI adapter for desktop users), an available Hi-Speed USB 2.0 port, and Internet connection with minimum 800Kb/sec up/down performance. Needless to say, you will also need a Google Gmail account for it to work. Expect to fork out $149.95 for the faceVsion FVexpress Combo.
