The Wooden Mast Humidifier

by Ally

Most humidifiers plug into your wall and look pretty boring.  They’re usually plastic and sometimes bulky.  Well this humidifier is far different from the rest, purely by looks alone.  I’m not sure that I’ve ever even seen a wooden humidifier.  Then it manages to stand out even further by not having a single electronic part.  Instead it goes for a lo-tech solution that still manages to work as a normal humidifier.  Except, less noisy of course.

It’s made out of Japanese cypress, which means your room is going to have a nice scent to go with it.  You just add water to the boat part of the mast, then the water is sucked up into the mast and dispersed into the air you breathe.  Despite that the wood is rot-resistant, after a while the center of the mast might start to change colors a little bit.  You can purchase the Mast Humidifier for 6,300 Yen or about $69.

Oh man. Sorry, but this site looks terrible. Just terrible. It has no visually redeeming quality whatsoever. It makes you wanna run, not walk, as fast as you can in the other direction.

And it’s been whored out with ads a la Heidi Fleiss. I mean it’s really bad. I feel dirty.

Absolutely awful.

Nothing personal, of course. Just the truth.
