Last weeks coolest gadget and winner of the Sansa Fuze are…

Jet Pack

We had some great entries in last weeks coolest gadgets contest but one entry stood out with the voters, taking 34% of the votes, the Working Jet Pack.

I can imagine that machine-assisted flight is probably one of the greatest thrills technology has to offer. It does cost about $250,000, though.

I hope we will soon come to an era when everybody is flying around on jet packs that are not so expensive. Maybe the skies will be filled with jet packers, and I wonder how long it will take for us to cease to be impressed by it.

pizza scissors
There were only 4 votes between second and third place, with the new essential kitchen appliance, Pizza Scissors, managing to grab the runner up spot.

Pizza lovers rejoice: serving slices is easier than ever! Slice and serve pizza easily with this new invention. It combines kitchen shears with a wedge-shaped spatula so you can slice and serve with one hand without ever losing toppings.

stealth switch
Finally in third place we have the very useful Stealth Switch.

This desktop cloaking device instantly hides applications of a dubious nature just at the press of a covert foot switch. Your offending browser/application isn’t just minimised but is completely hidden from view. Save your job and that eBay bid at the same time!

Thanks again to all entrants, voters and commentators. The next weekly coolest gadgets will be up for voting this Friday (write about gadgets and want to enter, here’s how), see you there.

Oh nearly forgot, this weeks randomly drawn voter who wins the Sansa Fuze MP3 Player is Jabberwock, congratulations we’ll be in touch to sort out shipping details.
