The General Electric Copper Spotlight

by Ally

There have been a lot of steampunk style gadgets popping up, but most are DIY kind of projects and very few are actually up for purchase.  Which can be extremely dissapointing for those of us that don’t have a single skill that would help create such a work of art.  Well Urban Archaeology makes several different styles a lot looking almost historic and just a little steampunk.  This cute little spotlight being one of their numerous products.

The Antique Copper Searchlight is almost deceptive in its picture.  I thought it would be just a small sit on your desk type light.  However, it measures 30” tall and 22” wide.  Sadly this being such an attractive light it comes at a very very high price.  It is currently being sold for a whopping $6,500.  Which is a bit out of most people’s price ranges.  Otherwise I would definitely be trying to snag one up myself.  If you’re in the mood to drool over different products that are way too expensive for you to actually own, the site is definitely worth a look or two.

I have two of these lights identical to the one in this picture except they are not mounted to a base. They are in good condition, one has the original bulb still in it. The copper has minor tarnish and i have not polished them. If you have any information on locating a buyer or would like to have pictures please feel free to contact me by email. I would appreciate any information that would be helpful in selling the pair I have.

Thank you,
Joanie Shabay

I purchased one of these lights recently, but the glass lens was damaged during shipment. The shipment was insured, so I’m looking to find a replacement lens if anyone has one available.
