Pet Plants

by Anita

I found the cutest gadgets around, if you can call them gadgets. I guess it would be according to how you look at them. These adorable pet plants can be carried around with you every place you go and bring you joy.

The pet plants come from the Orient and they seem to be a huge hit in the UK. Why do they get all the cool stuff before we do in America? They are living miniature bonsai plants that grown in peat moss and are placed in the small clear cylindrical capsule so you can take them with you.

This would be a great way to teach children a bit about responsibility and they will enjoy caring for and watching their own pet plants grow. And the best part is they are much cheaper than a pet dog or cat.

Whether you give one of these pet plants as a gift or you decide to have one for yourself all you need to do is give it a bit of sunshine at the office, at home or even at school, a tad of water once in awhile, and of course love and attention.

They will however outgrow their plastic home in about 3 to 6 months and have to be transplanted to a larger pot or garden. You may even decide after nurturing this special plant to give it as a gift after you place it in a beautiful pot, or show it off at your office.

You can choose from the Ever Plant, Bijo Plant, Golden Barrel Cactus and the Finger Plant (Shown). Each plant has a special meaning such as the Ever Plant symbolizes Prosperity, Bijo Plant symbolizes Friendship, Golden Barrel Cactus symbolizes Strength and the Finger Plant symbolizes happiness.

You can find your own special pet plant for around £5.89 or about $7.04 USD
