Who gets $50 from last week’s Coolest Gadget

Tuesday, September 2nd, 2008

Last week’s coolest gadget contest had a familiar winner, yet again Gaj-It took the crown with the exceedingly cool Funtrak Paintball Panza, I’ve seen these in action and they look a load of fun.

The concept of paintball warfare has been around for a while as a way for you to bond with people by shooting painful, orange pellets at them. Well, for your next office party, you can really get to “bond” with the Associate Directors by shooting at them from a tank (don’t tell me your heart didn’t leap at that sentence, I know it did).

The USB Soda Can Humidifier humidifies and purifies the air

Sunday, August 31st, 2008

This may appear to be just a regular pop can.  One with odd and cheaply done artwork along the sides.  However, this can is another mini humidifier in disguise.  It’s meant to sit on your desk just like the Personal Humidifier that utilized a water bottle.  However, this can will blend in with your daily caffeinated beverages instead of stick out like the other humidifier.  The only thing to set it apart is the USB cord and on odd looking top.  Well and not to mention it puffing out bits of steam.  I suppose normal cans don’t do that, so that would look a little odd.

The $50 Winner and last weeks Coolest Gadget…

Tuesday, August 26th, 2008

Iring

Last weeks coolest gadget again had a runaway winner (45% of the votes), the iRing (another podium finish for Gaj It)), the coolest way to control your iPod.

The iRing’s functionality is every bit as cool as the iPod’s. To adjust the volume, you simply need to slide your finger across the touch sensitive surface of the ring. To play or pause songs, just tap the apple icon on the ring and to skip tracks you need only touch on either side of the icon depending on which direction you want to go

As cool as the iRing is, it is only a concept which did give it a bit of an unfair advantage in last weeks contest so we might be changing the rulea a little bit for next week.
