iPig docking station

Thursday, August 14th, 2008

There are dozens of iPod speaker docks out in the market, and the iPig docking station joins a long line of them. You get 25 watts of total power, and it also comes with a 4″ subwoofer and an adjustable bass control. Needless to say, as with any other generic speaker, you can plug this to portable media players, gaming consoles and various compatible audio equipment through the 3.5mm headphone jack. The eyes of the iPig are but speakers, while the ears function as touch-sensitive volume controls. Whenever the iPig is turned on, you will see its mouth light up. Choose from yellow, pink or white colors for $140 per unit.

The USB Piggy Speakers are anything but dull

Wednesday, July 2nd, 2008

Remember those pig earbuds only being sold in Japan? Well now we have our own pig themed speakers and they can’t have them. Although, likely they probably have their own and got them before us. In my head though, it’s that we get them all to ourselves. These little speakers are of course in true piggy form and are powered by USB. It’s an individual speaker, the type you tote around with you to plug in your iPod at random locations.

Japan getting little pig earbuds

Monday, June 23rd, 2008

Alright, so everyone has their bizarre tendencies, mine happens to be that I find pigs adorable. I don’t mean in the way that someone who has never seen a real pig in their life buys cute little pig accessories. No, I mean both real and fake, I fully admit that it is both strange and completely ridiculous. That being said, I am of course a sucker for these cute little novelty earbuds. Being a bit of a gadget geek, I of course take into consideration that likely they don’t have the greatest sound quality.

Is it over for the Moller SkyCar?

Tuesday, November 20th, 2007

Moller m400

“Where are the flying cars?! They promised me flying cars!” That was the infamous lament of actor Avery Brooks in a popular IBM commercial a few years back and he has a point. Where are the flying cars? Well, we’ve seen many announcements that they’re coming with the most famous is the Moller Sky Car. Now it seems that with losing over 40 million in development costs, even Moller executives are leery about the prospects for the future of their flying car.

Toshiba lays claim to thinnest LCD TV

Wednesday, November 14th, 2007

toshiba-40xf355d.jpg

At least for the moment - the Toshiba 40XF355D LCD TV measures no more than 23mm thin, bringing 1,920 x 1,080 resolution to your living room. Looks extremely fragile to me - I’d say get this only if you do not have any wild kids running around the house and love nothing better than give the ol’ pigskin a toss, particularly in the living room. This Toshiba offering comes with a trio of HDMI ports for all your High Definition needs, an integrated digital TV tuner and Toshiba’s proprietary picture processing algorithm, all of which retail for £1,197 in Europe.

Yackle Ball is a modern frisbee

Tuesday, May 1st, 2007

yackle-ball.jpgParents will often think of the days when they brought their mini Me’s the to local park for a game of catch or two with a frisbee or even a ball, but how times have changed. While the Yackle Ball does not come with an integrated digital camera or MP3 player just yet, it offers something very different from the traditional ball or frisbee by coming in the shape of the letter ‘X’. While the word ‘ball’ in its name might be misleading, you would be interested to hear how this park toy works. Made from a soft, squidgy, tough, and tactile material, the Yackle offers at least half a dozen games for you and your progeny to engage in instead of sitting in front of the TV on a beautiful summer day bashing each other’s brains out on the latest beat ‘em up on the Xbox 360.

The Immersive Pig Show

Tuesday, January 23rd, 2007

Pig Show

This has got to be one of the most bizarre photographs I’ve seen, an inflatable pig with with people sticking out of its belly.

There is a sensible (somewhat) reason for it, inside the pig is a show that you’re free to watch provided you wear a pigs tail and don’t mind squeezing your head inside.

In which crazy country do you think the pig’s from and travels around… the UK, I’m so proud to be British.
