Permit me a moment of heresy. I certainly can appreciate the visceral sensation derived from the sound and power generated by downshifting a Ducati or Harley. The reality we all need to face is that hybrids are pervasive and the line of concept bikes from ecycle might re-define the hog. Designed by Machineart of Frenchtown, NJ, these bikes will put some green into your machine.

If you hate being stuck in traffic jams, don’t worry, because the new flying car PAL-V is on it way. This Dutch project is a hybrid 3-wheel vehicle that can fly as a gyrocopter and also be driven as a regular car, or to be more precise, like a motorcycle.

The EV-X7 is a new kind of electric motorcycle which has a top speed of 90mph (maybe even a 100 down a very steep hill) and a range of up to 110 miles off a 6 hour charge.
The improved performance is put down to new type of motor that is both lighter and more efficient and appropriately called the Sumo hybrid (have you ever heard of a lite sumo?). The manufacturers Axle are planning a mini version of the EV-X7 later this year for under £1,000 which sounds promising.

Is the Can-Am Spyder Roadster a motorcycle or a car? Either way you want to look at it, this is one sexy beast. This three wheeled vehicle is a hybrid between a motorcycle and a sports car, with two wheels on the front and one in the back. With a stunning design and even better performance, the Spyder has a Vehicle Stability System (VSS) with anti-lock brakes, traction control and stability control systems, and is described by BRP as the next dimension in open road riding and a paradigm shift.
