Atari Retro

Atari Retro
Some people just don’t like all the power those new, fancy consoles give them. They were satisfied happy with there old Atari 2600s.

Well, you can be happy once again, just buy yourself an authentic Atari 2600, sans all those game cartridges. That’s right, you get all the retro action without having to store all those silly cartridges.

Make Your Own Cardboard Robot

September 16th, 2006 by Al in DIY Gadgets, Toys

KokinoOne of the perks of running CG is we often get sent gadgets to review, most of the time we’ll give them out to the community as prizes (we currently have a $1,000 competition running and since the start of that competition we’ve received another $1,500 worth of prizes for the next one :)). This next bribe, freebie review piece is one we’ll be keeping as we had to make it our selves, Kokino the Paper Robot toy.

A1 Quality Toys contacted me a little while ago to ask if I’d like to review their Paper Toy Robot, as I’m one to rarely say no it turned up a few days later, thanks guys. Read the rest of this entry »

Pyramat Sound Seat

September 15th, 2006 by Mike in Gaming Gadgets

Pyramat Sound Seat
Playing a came from your couch on some old junky TV is good enough for most people, but some gamers really like to get into the game, experiencing it almost, which the Pyramat Sound Seat does.

The chair itself looks pretty funky, it’s shaped like a very wide U and honestly looks uncomfortable, although it is leather material. The cool part is the speakers built into the chair itself.

Wireless Weather Station

September 15th, 2006 by Edwin in Home Gadgets

honeywell-weather-station.jpgMost of the time, we tune in to the TV or radio (and even the Internet these days) to get the latest on the weather. Why dictate your life around such media when you can have a personal and accurate weather forecast reading from the comfort of your home? The Honeywell Professional Weather Station not only displays the time and temperature, it is equipped with a plethora of wireless sensors that transmits data continuously so that you are able to view a list of local conditions simultaneously. The time shown is retrieved via radio signals from the U.S. atomic clock which is one of the most accurate clocks in the world.

Residential Water Slides

September 15th, 2006 by Al in Garden Gadgets, Home Gadgets

Home Water SlideAfter enjoying Tiago’s recent pool gadgets series I thought I’d add one of my own, the SlideScapes Backyard water slide.

I’ve promised my daughter that our next house will have it’s own pool and once she sees this I’m sure she’ll want one of these to go with it. Slide Scapes are water slides designed for residential dwellings, what would be really cool is having a balcony outside your master bedroom with slide into the pool below (could there be a better way to wake up (okay yeah there is ;)). You can also use the excuse that it will save you money in water park admission fees :).

For full information and availability check out Slide Scape, I’m now off to start earning some money for the next place.

Pool Gadgets - Series 5

September 14th, 2006 by Tiago in Miscellaneous Gadgets

After the tremendous success of the latest Pool Gadgets edition there was one item that got worldwide attention, the Inflatable Iceberg was first seen here at Coolest Gadgets and it was so cool and special that deserved a remarkable mention at Digg and plenty of other sites :)

To finish the Pool Gadget series in style, here is what I have for you:

A floating spa to be used inside the pool - this could be the best product in these series after the inflatable iceberg. The Hotpod is easy to setup, just plug the intake hose of the pool and wait a couple of minutes till it is filled up. It’s big enough ( 56″ w x 56″ h x 33″ ) to have a maximum capacity of 4 adult personas and a water capacity of 450 gallons.
