CanCam lets your soda do the watching

November 2nd, 2009 by Mark R in Digital Cameras, Spy Stuff

spycokecan-thumb-550x550-27623We at Coolest Gadgets are no stranger to seemingly ordinary items that conceal spy cameras. The most recent was the fake car key from Brando. This one is very unusual, as it is a can of Coke, something that I would never suspect would try to film me.

This CanCam has 4GB worth of memory to record VGA quality video that can support 15 hours of continuous recording. As you can see, the lens is located slightly below the logo.

The on and off switch is located underneath the can itself, as well as the record button. There is a USB port there to help charge the camera, and is presumably there to download the video footage as well. It even has a remote control for even more secrecy.

GBound R/Cs on water

November 2nd, 2009 by James in Remote Control
The G Bound Ampibian R/C car can go just about anywhere, even over water.

The G Bound Amphibian R/C car can go just about anywhere, even over water.

Some radio controlled toys are too cool for words. This can be true with the G-Bound, which not only does crazy stunts on land, but thanks to it’s balloon type tires, can drive on water as well.

YoGen offers free juice plus a workout

November 2nd, 2009 by Edwin in Eco Gadgets, Electronic Gadgets

yogen

Going green is more or less on the agenda of most companies, as that is the way forward to the future. The YoGen device is one that takes the eco-friendly route, offering off-the-grid charging for your devices while giving your arms a good workout. Yup, you’ve guessed it – it uses an unorthodox technique of a pull string, where the product is descibred as “produces a previously unmatched level of charging power when driven by the repeated pulling of a cord, in a way which somewhat resembles the action of a Yo-Yo.” No idea on how many pulls will it take to juice up an iPod, but it does come with a range of connector tips that will cater for a variety of devices. It will be available for $40 a pop after November 15th, making it a suitable stocking stuffer for your eco-friendly family members this coming holiday season.

Nintendo DSi now known as DSi LL

November 2nd, 2009 by Edwin in Electronic Gadgets, Gaming Gadgets

dsi-ll

The wildly successful Nintendo DS line has now entered its fourth iteration, with confirmation of the Nintendo DSi LL in the pipeline that is basically a supersized version of the camera-enabled DSi. After all, it gets larger 4.25″ displays on both top and bottom segments compared to the older DSi’s 3.25″, coupled with an extra, bulkier pen with a host of new colors to whet your appetite. Something tells us that Zune lovers might just fall for this since it comes in a similar dark brown color. Out in Japan later this November 21st, it will come with a trio of built-in games, retailing for roughly $220 after conversion which makes it pricier than the Sony PSP-3000 but cheaper than the PSP Go. Do you think the DSi LL will be able to take off in the same manner as its predecessors?

Sonic Fabric Neckties made out of old cassette tapes

November 1st, 2009 by Ally in Audio/Video Gadgets, Eco Gadgets

sonic_fabric

A lot of items made out of old gadgets don’t exactly blend in within the real world.  Those cuff links made out of old Xbox buttons aren’t going to impress your boss in the least.  I know it’s difficult when you feel like you’re trapped in a black, white and beige world to find a way to still express yourself.  However, some still have to at least somewhat keep the appearance of a professional.  Well this tie will look great in the work place and never let on that it has a highly geeky twist.
