It’s been established before that there are few gadgets left that only perform a single function. Well this is what happens when they’re desperate for another function, but don’t want to put a whole lot more money into the gadget. Just put some USB ports on it and then hollow out the inside. Presto, you have a place to hide paper clips. Just what you always wanted, a paper clip holder. It does more than that though, it hides them away behind a tiny door when you don’t want to se them.
This would probably be the first time that I have reported on eyewear on this site. After all, most sunglasses seem very non-technological, but rest assured, there is a science behind it all.
This is certainly the case with GUNNAR Optiks, a “technology company that has pioneered the development of digital performance eyewear”. GUNNAR gives its customers digital eyewear that helps to stop Digital Eye Fatigue (DEF). DEF is the result of the never-ending stream of digital information that results form sitting around a computer all day.
Symptoms of DEF include blurred vision, eye strain, dry eyes, light sensitivity, and headaches. If it is left untreated, it can lead to Computer Vision Syndrome (CVS), a repetitive visual stress disorder that affects 125 million computer users.

Yes, the guys that think that Tim Allen wasn’t funny because they didn’t believe Home Improvement was not an act. Guys who really do grunt like cavemen at the sight of an awesome power tool.
Or maybe they are targeting the guy geek. Hey man, I consider myself one of those, and my pockets tend to be filled with many gadgets. Gadgets, if I might add, that were not designed for the rigors of being in a pocket all day.
When I first saw the iida Polaris from KDDI, I thought the idea was to put your cellular phone in a ball like a hamster so it is free to roam about the room. Of course, that is kind of silly, isn’t it? It’s not like your phone is a living thing that wants to explore.
Of course, we live in a technological age where designers often make things simply because they can, and I was actually willing to believe that rolling is what the iida Polaris does. Sadly, my dreams of a cell phone hamster ball mechanism were shattered as I discovered that the ball apparatus only serves as a cradle, not a transport.
When the user puts the phone in the cradle, it begins a process of collecting data such as healthy food suggestions, business news updates, and weather information. The user can open the fancy lid on the Polaris and use the phone as a remote control in order to access their television.
For being such a simple looking speaker, it still manages to somehow look great. There is really nothing out of the ordinary with its looks except that it doesn’t look like just another cheap plastic speaker. It actually looks like it’s created out of decent quality materials. No, it’s not in some goofy shape to show your love of Star Wars or something along those lines. Then again, perhaps that’s a good thing.
I am not really into MMO games, but I’m sure that you or someone that you love (or, in this case, not love at all) is into them. Clearly, he or she might be wanting a gaming keyboard like the Merc Stealth.
The Merc Stealth is made by SteelSeries, makers of the Zboard. The user won’t be able to fold up his or her keyboard with the Merc Stealth, but you have to admire its blue glow. By the way, that glow has two other options of purple and red, and four different illumination modes including subtle, ambient, intense, and off. (Yes, off is considering an illumination mode.)
If you’re having issues with poor posture, it’s best to solve the issue as quickly as possible. Since bad posture when you’re at the computer all day can cause your back damage and cause shoulder pain. Which of course tends to lead to a pounding headache every so often. With this device, it’ll remind you to sit up straight when you need it. That’d be nice to have for those of you that zone out and forget to sit up straight.

Not the first time that I have used dialogue from The Matrix to introduce a new product. This seems to happen every time I report on a product with a name that sounds like “Neo“. Today it is the Nio security system.
The Nio is a very simple concept. It uses “tags” that are synced via Bluetooth to a mobile device. These tags can be placed on briefcases, expensive gadgets, or anything else that you don’t want to let out of your sight. There’s a video of it after the jump.
