Fake Surveillance Camera

July 28th, 2006 by Liam in Spy Stuff

Fake Surveillance Camera
Here’s a very simple gadget which could make the difference between you getting your house robbed or not! This tricky little gadget looks just like a regular dome-shaped surveillance camera however it’s completely fake. If you don’t have the money to fork out for a complex surveillance system but you want to at least scare away people from trying anything funny this might do it.

I would bet that if you put one of these up in a very obvious place you would be able to stop anyone from stealing anything. I’m sure if someone was really intent on robbing a house they wouldn’t bother taking their chance with a camera even if it might be fake.

This phony yet effective little gadget is available for $19.99 from Smart Home. That’s a little cheaper than getting a complete system running ;).

Multiple Handset Cordless Phone System

July 27th, 2006 by Liam in Home Gadgets

5.8GHz Digital Cordless w/3 HandsetsLiam's Gadget of the Week
This is a really innovative idea which incorporates three handsets into one base so you can have your phones all over the house and not be held back by cords. There is one base which holds one phone at a time and it is the only part that needs to be connected to a phone line.

Although multiple handsets are a very great idea, these phones also have some other technology which is much more interesting than the average phone. First of all they operate at 5.8GHz which is much more powerful and clean than standard 2.4GHz cordless phones. This also means you’ll never have interference with WiFi connections in your house either.
