Sexy Lap Pillow

May 17th, 2006 by Al in Wacky Gadgets

Leg and bum pillow
We reported on the amusing arm pillow a little while ago, a unique way for lonely women to fall asleep in a mans arm. Now it’s the turn of us blokes with the release of the Girlfriend Lap Pillow.

The Girlfriend Lap Pillow consists of a slim pair of realistic legs and a short tight skirt, so if you’re between girlfriends you can still get a comfortable sleep with your had on a barely dressed lap.

Found first in the Gizmag (thanks).

Be Seen with Strobe Light Clothing

May 17th, 2006 by Al in Miscellaneous Gadgets

Strobe ClothingIf you’re a jogger or cyclist being seen at night is pretty important unless you want a close car encounter followed by an infirmary visit. Reflectors and lights are pretty good but their not a path on these strobes.

Stridelite and Cyclite are jackets and clothing specially designed for runners and cyclist, not only do they have the latest in reflective technology but the clothing is encompasses strobe lights so like a boat will see a light house a car driver will notice you. Hopefully it won’t dazzle the driver so much he’s blinded.

You can buy and get further info from the Stridelite site.

A self-portrait; of your DNA

May 17th, 2006 by Paz in Home Gadgets

DNA self-portrait.

This isn’t really a gadget, but a cool idea for the home anyway; a framed portrait of your DNA to add a bit of style and individualism to your living room.

Getting your genetic portrait made is straight forward enough; choose your frame and colour option, take a sample of saliva using your “DNA collection kit” and wait for framed canvas portrait to arrive by post 4 to 8 weeks later.

Cement that Absorbs Pollution

May 17th, 2006 by Al in Tech News

Pollution Absorbing Cement
If you’ve ever cycled on a busy road you’ll know how bad pollution can be. Inside of letting cyclists filter the pollution out of the air (via their lungs) the answer might be in cement.

Solar Powered 8m Airship for only Ten pounds

May 17th, 2006 by Al in Garden Gadgets, Solar Powered Gear, Toys

Solar Heated BalloonThis solar powered gadget looks a load more fun than the solar powered ventilator we wrote about earlier (though not as much fun as the Wego Kite Tube). The black Solar Airship is probably the most fun you can have in the park with your clothes on.

To use the sausage shaped Airship, simply fill with air which I assume is done by holding it open and running across the field with an insane grin on your face (so no puffing required though probably a bit of panting). Once filled with air the solar airship measures a whopping 8 metres long. Next you let the sun heat the airship and watch it rise into the air holding on for dear life. I’m not sure what sort of weight it can lift but it will be fun to find out.

You can get the Solar Airship from The Gadget Shop for £10 which is an absolute steal IMO.

Solar Powered Ventilator

May 17th, 2006 by Al in Miscellaneous Gadgets, Solar Powered Gear

Solar VentilatorYou know when you come back to your car on a really hot day, you open the door and get blasted by hot stuffy air well this solar powered gadget solves half the problem, at least the hot air won’t be stuffy (and maybe a little cooler too).

The solar vent clips on the top of your window with the solar panel outside (and some air vent I assume) and a fan on the inside. It then sucks the hot stuffy stale air out of the car and replaces it with not quite so hot fresh air from outside. It’s certainly not a replacement for air con but a green and ecologically friendly addition.

Available from Sunshine Solar for under £30.

Design Your Own Toilet Roll

May 17th, 2006 by Al in Miscellaneous Gadgets, Wacky Gadgets

Custom Toilet Paper

A while ago we reported on the strange black toilet roll and the funny RSS rest room reader, so this is our third toilet roll post (never thought I’d be writing that on a gadget site), custom printed toilet paper.

Shower cabinet with UV sun bed

May 16th, 2006 by Paz in Home Gadgets

Shower solarium combo unit

Here’s a cool idea; a shower with built-in UV lamps so you can get yourself clean and tanned at the same time.

Even better, there’s a hydro-massage option too.
